don't mind me, just posting the best brand of instant noodles there is
>>7594388
dindu mama
Bullshit, everyone knows indomie is the best
>>7594391
my man
>>7594391
>indomie is the best
indomie is up there, that's for sure, but i still prefer mama
better flavour and cheaper
ITT: poorfags
Most Nissin noodles I've had except the one in pic related are shit by the way, is it just their hong kong-made shit or are they just as lame in japan?
>>7594417
we're all very poor, yes
and nissin is kind of shit, yeah
sapporo ichiban is better than them even
>been eating mama noodles since mid 90s
>can tell they've changed the formula at least once
still my favorite tho.
Do you guys throw eggs in your noodle soup by the way? I just add it like a minute before the noodles are done and try to stir so that the white is cooked, but the yellow shit stays liquid.
Vegetables are too much work IMO, kimchi is nice to add if you have it tho.
>>7594465
i don't like how whispy is gets so i briefly pan-fry the egg before cutting it into bits
i'm super lazy for the most part though, i'll dump in canned chicken breast chunks (which is tastier than it sounds, think of the chicken chunks in canned chicken soup) and frozen vegetables and be done with it
This thread is amusing because I have an instant noodle stash in my desk at work for days when I'm too hurried in the morning to eat a properly huge breakfast.
I really like the Mama brand pho, but you have to be careful not to cook the noodles too hard or they go to mush.
For non-soup instant noodles I like Indomie.
>>7594467
Frozen vegetables are a good idea, just like throwing frozen fruit in oatmeal as an awesome cooling/flavor/health addition.
>>7594477
I wonder what they do to korean noodles that keeps them so firm and stretchy.
>>7594479
yup. it's a basic blend of beans, peas, carrots, and corn
i also buy kale and freeze it and literally just grab two handfuls of the stuff because it gets so brittle
shit's delicious when it's done
by the way, does anyone know where i can buy boxes of instant noodles? besides costco or sam's club?
>>7594485
I guess they don't sell frozen kale in your country then. It's pretty much a hipster meme food outside of Holland isn't it?
If I'm going to try that I'll just grab pic related.
>>7594500
Every chinese store I've been at has boxes.
>>7594502
well, yes, they do, but it's cheaper to just buy fresh kale. usually, anyway. i really only buy it when it's on sale and buy a lot. we have one of those huge stand-alone freezers so it's no issue
also, there aren't really any asian grocery stores around. the closest thing is probably this indian one nearby, but that place is just for buying samosas
>>7594514
>>7594502
also, i'm canadian, by the way. most of the time i see frozen kale at a grocery store it's this brand
>>7594536
ALL instant noodles lack any real nutritional value
that's why we put in frozen veggies and chicken and whatnot to make it somewhat not so terrible
>>7594546
do it up. it not only makes it more nutritious, it makes it more DELICIOUS
but really though, frozen veggie medleys are your best friend
>>7594548
why frozen? i'm in the uk and tend to buy single fresh vegetables but not averse to the (non-frozen) stir fry mixtures you can get.
>>7594556
generally it's cheaper to do so, they're already premixed and cut, the veggies are at peak ripeness, and the convenience of it all is really nice. literally just dump some of the bag into your boiling soup and you're good to do
>>7594566
thanks
Seriously, all I see when I Iook at those asian packages of noodles is a SALT LICK.
>>7594586
don't have a cow, man
>>7594586
>not wanting as much nutritional value as possible
6 grams of salt a day is just the minimum. It's just like vitamin C, you'll pee out what you don't need brah. :^)
>tfw I threw up to get pic related out of my body when I read this label
It was actually only like 5 grams in a pack. They were probably still toxic though. I've never had chinese noodles that didn't make me feel like I was eating something I shouldn't be eating.
>>7594612
I loved the packaging though. Three flavoring packets and actual """meat""" in the dried shit packet.
>>7594626
looks delicious tbch
I love Mama!
>>7596552
Did you shoop that or is it legit?
If legit, this isn't a cringe thread...
You guys gotta try the noodles you drain the water, I think indomie is one of the brand's but I think there's a Cambodian brand one
What do you use to spice up your shitty noodle brands?
You're aren't even trying guv.
>>7596937
Also drain out the water and stick it in a sandwich, heavenly.
I like those thick udon noodles. Doesn't matter what brand. Ramen noodles a shit tier.
>>7594388
>not the shrimp tom yom flavor
I've started to make them from scratch to cut down on sodium. Boil katsuobushi and kombu to make a dashi stock, then add 3-minute ramen noodles, vegetables, and whatever leftover meat is in the fridge.
>>7596552
>ketchup flavour
ew
>>7596930
bit of paprika and chicken stock
teaspoon of sriracha
teaspoon of bulgogi
