But a lot of the time people don't just change it for taste reasons. Sometimes their a vegetarian or some shit and their friends chose a restaurant without any vegetarian dishes.
A lot of the time have a legitimate reason for it like their allergic to something in it or they have health concerns. Both my parents are lactose intolerant but most restaurants seem to like putting cheese, milk, and cream in everything, even if the type of dish isn't traditionally made with dairy, so they usually try to ask them to hold the cheese or substitute something else for milk/cream in drinks like coffee and stuff like that.
