I drink it when I have a runny asshole

Mix some up in your next batch of mashed potatoes, fluffs them right up and gives them a bit of tang

Isn't that basically just yogurt? I've never had it

Yeah. It's one of my favorite kinds of yogurt. It's worth trying.

I've bought kefir twice, but the second time I really didn't like and had to force myself to drink it.

I think I must've bought one with fruit the first time, because the second it was way too sour and the smell before it hits your mouth is unbearable.

"Champagne of dairy" indeed

I was forced to drink that shit every morning when I was in elementary school, it sucked.

The liquid was thin and felt very acidic going down. Any attempts to flavor it only made the taste of the actual liquid more prominent!

Did it make you healthier than the kids who didn't drink it?

Fucking love it, always good for killing a craving or hunger
>>

Fuck no. If it did, I didn't notice

Love that shit. Throw some honey or fruit on there.

It's a pretty goofy sport, if we're being honest.

Look at this beautiful ballerina.
>>
>>7589379
I always thought it was a bit disgusting. Every man/woman/other/brick is entitled to their own opinion, though.
>>
Mixing it with fruits and nuts?

Do americans really make kefir thick like yogurt?
>>
>>7590489

Honestly? It's all clever marketing. It's literally the same shit that's always been around grocery stores. The ethnic (greek || swedish || sand nigger) yogurt craze is environmentally damaging, and you should feel bad for supporting it.
>>
>>7590494
Well, to me proper kefir is diy, with kefir grains you were given. I don't think an industrial product would be very good.

Like kombucha. I haven't had any decent commercial kombucha and gave up looking for it.
>>
We have something very similar to it in Sweden called Filmjölk (don't know if there is a english word for it).
Pretty much grew up on the stuff. I've never really had cereals/müsli with milk, which seems like a terrible combo to me. I've alwayd had it with filmjölk instead. Or kefir, stores have it most of the times too.

If you are female, I find it sufficient to touch my cooch before handling the milk to get a lactobacillus culture going
>>
>>7589391
Yea, this stuff is hit or miss though for anal leakage, sometimes it helps with projectile diarrhea, sometimes causes it.
>>
>>7589757
There's a difference in store bought bottled up keffir than what's homemade. Maybe someone can break it down here.
>>
>>7590494
How does it damage the environment?
>>
>>7591066
It doesn't, the whey leftover product is being used as fertilizer, animal feed, but eco enlightened enviro idiots will pop up like roaches and cry about it.
>>
>>7589743
'tis not yogurt

>>
>>7589379
I use it instead of yogurt for making tarator.
>>
>>7591086
There isn't even leftover whey in the yogurt making process, except maybe Greek yogurt. All the other yogurts I know consist of everything that was in the milk.
>>
Recently ate some "kefir" that basically tasted like normal shitty yogurt, I miss the nice heterogeneous acidic stuff I used to eat.
>>
>>7589757
Store bought is soured from longer storage, and is sourer so it can survive longer storage.
Neither of these qualities help each other.

>handling milk bare hands
Did your greens eventually ferment?
>>
i like the stuff but don't get it a lot. it's a SCOBY in comparison to the cultures in yogurt and much easier to make on your own since it doesn't require warmth. you just put curds in some milk, then wait a day (i think). now you've got a consistent supply of kefir and more curds than you'll know what to do with. maybe make cheese.

do know that the cultures are passed down from generation to generation, and you'll find different flavors if you get them from different families. try not to get curds from a brand since they're labmade and are harder keep for long (if you plan on making your own)

Reminds me of Kaffir. I don't eat nigger.

I drink kefir by itself. It's tasty, and I can drink a fuckton of it (several liters) without getting problems with my digestive system like I do when I drink a fuckton of milk.

Nah, it's pretty good. I mean, I wouldn't enjoy it plain, but with a bit of sugar and vanilla extract, it's a pleasant experience.
