get a pizza stone they said.

perfect pizza everytime they said.
>>
>being that bad at anything
end it
>>
>>7578525
Put it back in the oven and cook it until it is ash.
>>
>stone meme

i fell for it too
>>
My parents have had the same pizza stone for over 30 years and they have never had a problem with it. You must be doing something wrong.
>>
Try a brand called Pampered Chef, works good for me every time
>>
Put a thin coat of cisco on it. Bake at 500 till it quits smoking. Lather, rinse , repeat until it's black. Now it's ready to cook pizza on.
>>
Looks like a cat riding on the back of a golden retriever that's been hit by a truck.
>>
>>7578525
Sprinkle a light layer of corn meal on the stone before putting the pizza on it.
>>
I don't even understand how pizza could stick so bad. Seems like the dough was too wet or maybe the stone wasn't pre-heated.
>>
>>7579597
I had it preheated at 550F for 45min tho

dough was
500g flour
2g yeast
350g water
16g salt

ruined muh day
>>
>>7579652
Was it saucy? Sometimes it helps to bake the pizza base first a little so that the sauce doesn't soak through to the bottom.

>>7578783
This helps though.
>>
>>7578772
cannot unsee
>>
>>7578525

You're supposed to put the base on the stone, not the toppings.

This.
I use my pizza stone with my gas BBQ. I heat the stone to 200 degrees celcius, scrape off ash, turn down the gas, put the pizza in, wait, take out and enjoy.
>>
>>7578757
enjoy your carcinogens you dumb cunt
>>
>>7579741
I should mention that it"s a BBQ with a lid
>>
>>7579748
You're the dumb cunt here. In no way does the ash get into my pizza base. It's scraped off clean.
Kill yourself.
>>
It seems you might be a subhuman.
>>
The trick is to coat the stone with a mixture of olive oil and mustard, let it sit, and oil it back up before cooking.

cast iron is the only pan i use for pizza now
and it has the added benefit of not being a unitasker
>>
>>7579796
A pizza stone isn't a unitasker, Alton.
>>
>>7579771

don't listen to this man

his mixture creates mustard gas that might kill you
>>
>>7579801
That's bullshit. There's no olive oil in mustard gas.
>>
>>7579800
what else do you use it for?
>>
>>7578772
amazing
>>
every time is 2 words
>>
>>7579807
Baking various breads. Quarry tile is better and cheaper though.
>>
>>7579796
this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Makes perfect deep dish pizza crispy on the crust and plenty melted in the middle. If you are bad with the crust it's easy cause you just mold it to the shape of the cast iron.
>>
>>7578525

>perfect pizza everytime

Nobody ever said that. It's simply a tool to make better pizza.

I don't know how someone manages to fuck something up as bad as you apparently did, but no tool is going to help if you're a complete idiot.

A pizza stone won't do shit in a conventional oven, simply not hot enough.
>>
>>7579807
Not him but they work really well for cookies, you can get them real chewy while the base is a tad crispier and they don't fall apart

You were supposed to buy a good one, you cheap fuck.
>>
>>7580366

A round pizza stone is retarded. Just go for the biggest one that will fit in your oven.

You're trying to simulate a real pizza oven, not bake a fucking pie.
>>
>>7580372
That is the size and shape available at the store I bought it. They don't make one the size of my oven, fuck-o. And it is amazing. Look it up.
>>
>>7578772
Lol I see it
>>
>>7580383

>look it up
>apparently you don't need to preheat it
>apparently you can hold the handles with your bare hands hot off the grill/out of the oven
>apparently it keeps your pizza warm on the table, despite not being hot

Someone would have won a Nobel prize if this technology existed.

>surprised that americans fuck up everything including the advertisement of this French product.
>>
>>7580411

>it's a great french product!
>t-the americans just botched the ad!

It's obviously a shitty French made commercial.
>>
>>7579796
Holy fuck that look greasier than an americans skin
>>
>>7578525
Not the pizza stone's fault, you just didn't use it right.

The first time I tried to use a pizza stone it looked like that too because I didn't bother looking up how to use one and just cooked the pizza on it like I would a normal pan.
>>
>>7579796
fuck off with you're retard meme cast iron garbage, gaygger
>>
>>7580396
>apparently you don't need to preheat it
>apparently you can hold the handles with your bare hands hot off the grill/out of the oven
>apparently it keeps your pizza warm on the table, despite not being hot

All horseshit, but it is a decent pizza stone. I got one free in a drawing somewhere.
>>
>>7580348
Bull.

Using a pizza stone in a conventional oven isn't going to be as good as using a real pizza oven, but it's better than not using a pizza stone.
>>
>>7578525
Biggest waste of money ever anon. Just get a tray or a pan or bake straight on the rack like any normal human would
>>
>>7579796
how's things been going with you lately Mr. Brown
>>
>>7579796
So, how does it work, so you preheat the pan and then drop in the pizza and bake it, or is it cold pizza in cold pan in the preheated oven?
