Someone continued my thread.
Thanks, Anon.

So far:

Breakfast: oaty bar. Also coffee with milk.

Lunch: two homemade pinto bean "burgers" with onion-salt, peas, corn, carrot and red bell pepper on muffins because I had muffins.

After lunch snack: a bowl of popcorn with chipotle barbecue powder.

Planned dinner: cauliflower, potato and okra curry (bhindi aloo gobi sabzi) with white rice (because I don't feel like making bread today).

Planned second snack: about to walk into the kitchen for a mango.
>>
It's 1 pm. So far just coffee with some organic bullshit heavy whipping cream.

Later? Probably nothing, I might make a salad later which would be spinach/arugula or a spring mix with some random vinaigrette, shredded chicken, salt+pepper, pecans or California almonds, bleu cheese, and some lemon zest if I feel like it.

That salad is dank as fuck and now I think I'll definitely make it.
>>
>>7577429
Me again. Used that mango to make mango lassi which I enjoyed thoroughly with my curry.
>>
breakfast: oatmeal with milk and brown sugar
lunch: black beans and an egg
dinner: soda bread with cheese
snacks: peanut butter, ice cream, and the tops of some mini muffins
>>
Breakfast: Pepper bacon, fresh green beans sauteed in bacon fat, one-egg cheese omelet fried in bacon fat, glass of milk.

Lunch: Macaroni and cheese, apple, coffee.

Dinner: Canned pork & beans with beef hot dog slices. Probably with a glass of milk.

Snacks: Turkey, ham, and cheese sando with brown mustard on Italian bread. Only just now heating up dinner, though, so, it remains to be seen what else might get thrown in. Probably something sweet (chocolate or Pepsi), some sauteed broccoli, or some more Italian bread.

Had a horrible fucking hangover today, so it was just powerade and water this morning, and then I got suckered into eating two slices of that cheese stuffed crust Little Ceasars pizza, which tasted great going down, but then caused massive acid reflux and stomach pain later. Now I'm back to just powerade and water. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Nigger what?

Toad in the hole is sausages in a large Yorkshire pudding. Eggy bread is French toast. Do you mean eggs in a basket by any chance? Although I think you're probably pulling our legs.

Your dinner looks delicious by the way.

share your paprikash recipe?
>>
Remember: fats have 9 calories per gram while proteins and carbs each have 4.

Ergo, 1300 could equal 80g fat, 115g carbs and 30g protein.
Think of it this way: say the curry uses 2tbsp or so of oil. That's 30g. And the pilaf uses abother 2tbsp. That's another 30g. And the meat and cream gives the remaining 20g between them. Plus 75g of raw rice (which cooks up into about a cup of plain rice or two cups of pilaf) and 120g of meat (giving 20g or so of protein), plus the vegetables and spices etc etc etc it's really not difficult to imagine getting to 1300 at all.
>>

i used this one; it's my first time making it. if i make it again i wouldn't pour off the fat and i would sub peppers for the tomatoes

When I first moved to my area over ten years ago, there was a luncheonette that had no sign other than a chalk sandwich board outside that had the same thing written on it every day (so why it was chalk, I'll never know). It read Today's Special: Fish.
Nothing else written on that side, though the opposite side of the board had a laminated menu glued onto it.
So my friends and I called it "Today's Special Fish" until the day they closed because we didn't know what else to call it.
Pity, because it was actually pretty good.

I mean that athletes given measured amounts of protein in a meal were found to benefit from increasing the protein up to a certain point, which varied by age

I don't recall the exact numbers but for athletes in their teens and early 20s (which BTW is the most studied group for this kind of thing because there is no shortage of college kids willing to do anything for money), more protein was better up to something like 20-25g per meal.

For middle aged athletes the threshold was much higher, something like 40g per meal.

It's possible both groups require the same amount of protein but the younger athletes are just better at processing it, so they need less.

In either case, a whole chicken and a pint of milk is (unless you are middle aged) far in excess of that 25g threshold. Eat more brightly colored vegetables instead.
>>
>>7587260

I'm no dietitian so I'm not sure what source to trust, but I see online that someone's protein should provide 10% of someone's calories, which seems completely ridiculous to me. So someone with average dietary needs should be eating 53g of protein per day? How in the fuck do you do that with protein supplements or eating meat or beans at every meal? I mean... fuck. That just seems excessive.

Snack: a pair of White Castle 'peño-cheese sliders and a Tenroy Royal apple. I've never heard of this type. Just tastes like gala. Then I popped some popcorn. Oil-popped is best popped. Air-popped is for chumps.

Dinner: leftovers from a few nights ago, cauliflower, potato and okra curry. This time, I made bread to eat with it.

Indian buffets are the best. I wish there was one closer to me, the closest one is pretty far but it rules. Thanks for reminding me to go back soon!

Got up at 5 AM, had some water after delivering the papers on my paper route. Got home at 7 AM, went back to sleep and woke up at 11:45 AM to get to my other job at Tim Horton's where I ate about 3 timbits. Then, after work I had some Wendeys. Burger + fries + cola

I'll probably have an apple or some sort of snack soon before I go to bed

I had some coffee and a couple pieces of cheese earlier.

I've got a pot roast in the oven right now. Seared it in the dutch oven, cooked up some chopped onion, celery, carrot and jalapenos in the fat. Added some garlic, thyme, rosemary and marjoram, then deglazed with some merlot and let it reduce a bit. Added some worcestershire and cider vinegar and some beef stock, let it come to a boil, added the meat back in and stuck it in the oven at 325.

It's been in there for about an hour. I'm going to go turn it over here in a few and let it go for another hour or two until it's tender.

I plan to make some mashed potatoes later, skim the liquid from the dutch oven and reduce it into a sauce and probably make a salad to go with it.
