I generally get toasts (whole grain, dense bread full of nuts and shit) with apricot jam and a slice of cheese, usually havarti but too.
the bread is already filling and the cheese gives you a bit of fat and the jam a bit of sugar.
If I'm feeling like cooking I'll go with a traditional bacon and eggs.
Slice of Rye bread and 2 poached eggs, sprinkled with chilli flakes
It doesn't look like a lot on the plate but it's so filling, cereal would barely fill me for 2 hours

I used ingredients that COULD be made into a sandwich, but opted for toast, over medium eggs, and sausage on the side.

All home made. Arepas, black refried beans, queso fresco with bastard saffron, egg.
Beans are an incredible breakfast.
