How do you like your coffee /ck/? I'll start

>no cream
>no sugar
>>
$0.70 from the gas station for 24oz. Low-fat cream and sweetener. Can't wait for that aspartame cancer.
>>
with one spoon of sugar and milk, cry me a river atheist.
>>
Black
A little sugar can be tasty but I like it just the same black and no reason to add calories
I've never liked cream in coffee and don't understand anyone who does.

I have my coffee black, fresh ground with a french press. I used to like flat whites but I kind of just stopped drinking them and opting for black instead.
>>
Black. It has to be REALLY shitty coffee before I'll consider putting dairy in it. Never sugar.

I make exception for espresso drinks. I normally just have a regular espresso or an Americano, but from time to time I'll have a latte, if it's a really good cafe.

Usually ground in a shitty Krups I got for flax and brewed in a french press. Sometimes I put frozen cubes of it in nicecream.

Please tell me that Americans just use cream interchangeably for whole milk and don't put actual cream in their coffee.

Some Americans but butter in their coffee because a blog told th it's healthy.

Coffee and milk.
>>
>>7524262
From what I saw in their supermarkets, the cream they sell in America seems different to what you're probably used to. It's very thin and doesn't really clot. If you want anything thicker, you need to step up to double cream or whipped cream.
>>
>>7524262
There's usually a carton of heavy whipping cream on an American breakfast table. Only fags go for half and half.
>>
i dont normally drink it, but when i do, i go fucking ham on my coffee.

I take about 1/2 a cup to a cup of instant coffee, whatever is around, dump that into a pitcher with about 1/2 cup of boiling water. now i have this coffee sludge smoldering in a pitcher.

next i mix in sugar, honey, and a pinch of vanilla. thick on the honey. now this is like a batter.

lastly i mix in milk till the pitcher is full and enjoy.
>>
I like to have my coffee with a touch of milk so that it's still black but just doesn't taste as sour as usual. Any other ideas for getting rid of the sour taste but keeping the bitterness/thickness?
>>

As a lifelong tea drinker, the first time I had black coffee was entirely underwhelming.

A few times growing up I had french vanilla, milky, sugary coffee, but I never had black. Had always had my tea straight up.

As an adult, ordered black coffee from a few places and at home a few times - way less intense.

Not nearly as bitter as good tea. Somehow fedora-lords make it into their own drink. At least tea is flavorful.

Depends, a really strong black tea is quite bitter, more so than I would say a cup of cup of meh-tier black coffee would be bitter.

If you're talking about green or white tea, then you're a degenerate weeb and you need to fall asleep in an oven.

You can make bitter tea if it's what you want, but general consensus is that if you make bitter tea you've fucked something up in the brewing process. That goes for black, green or white.
>>
>>7524420
>on a diet
You're doing it wrong. You need permanent lifestyle changes. You'll be fat again eventually if you're unwilling to do that.
>>
>>7524154
I like cream/milk to cut the acidity of the coffee. Otherwise I find my stomach acts up.
>>
>>7524262
Half and half. 10% or 30%. Its milk with creamer mixed in, but it isn't actually "cream".
>>
>>7524412
I worked with a guy who bought caffeine powder and mixed it in water instead of drinking coffee. He was little bit nuts though. Studied chemistry at the local uni. Caffeine was by far the weakest drug he consumed on the regular.
>>
>>7524022
no cream no sugar because I enjoy coffee

I add sugar if the coffee is bad, and a bit of milk if it's absolutely godawful

I do 'decoction' coffee. It's like a cross between Indian filter coffee and French drip. It's typically served as an iced drink because palm trees don't provide much shade and it's hot as fuck where I'm from. Dunno how common it is elsewhere, but it's a dominant type of coffee for us. We brew large amounts of coffee at a time and store it in the fridge. I use 150g of ground coffee with 900ml water, brewed over ice.
Yields about 1200ml of brewed, iced coffee which I sweeten with about 100g of sugar. I mix 100ml of the stuff with a cup of milk, so gets me 13 servings or so. Despite being so heavily milked, its colour is not as light as you might expect. Maybe because our coffee is more darkly roasted and finely ground, we get a darker brew with greater extraction. I don't know. I'm not that type of scientist. What I do know, though, is that adding just a splash of milk to American coffee yields about the same shade as a cup of milk in ours. Crazy.

Here's a pic of one with a little less milk than I typically like, served with cold-foamed milk on top.
>>
>>7524542
sounds like a milky cold brew. Where can I get this? looks nice.
>>
>>7524557
Malta and many parts of southern Italy.

The coffee used is generally a mix of robusta and arabica beans, as typical for espresso, as well as endive root, all roasted together until quite dark then finely ground. The root gives it a chocolate-y taste. Some roasters glaze the beans in sugar syrup as they roast, giving them a taste of bitter caramel in addition to the coffee/chocolate-y flavour. Some add dried orange zest or spices (anise being most common). I just like plain with endive root.
You can use an American brewer or a moka pot to make it, if that's all you have, but I wouldn't recommend using a press pot. If coffee with endive is hard to find where you are, can just use regular dark-roast, Italian-roast or espresso-roast. Though it won't taste quite the same, it should still be quite nice.
>>
I drink my coffee black. Only because I have no milk or sugar. But if given the choice I would add stuff in it.

I drink black iced coffee, even on a cold day, I don't know why I just much prefer to drink things in ice cold form when I'm out and about. I'll drink hot coffee at a fancy place or at home or maybe outside if it's the only choice. if I want dessert that day which also happens to be coffee occasionally i'll get a frappucino in the afternoon

just enough to lift up the coffee flavor without tasting sweet
