I can't do over 70% cocoa
Just like they pretend to like alcoholic beverages and food with a lot of chilies in it.
I know some people like it with coffee, but otherwise I can only see people "liking" it to feel superior. Regular dark chocolate is good though.

72% isnt unpalatable
85% is pushing it, above that flavors from the cacao are muted by the bitterness.
I tasted 99% cocoa and it's pretty good.
I had a friend who said he felt gag reflex when eating though. Maybe it's not for everyone.

Actually, the high quality dark chocolates actually taste good. Even cheaper "expensive" brands can taste good. Ritter has a great dark chocolate.
