Smashburger and Culvers are the only two I go to. Very rare occasions I'll hit a Hardees.
I really liked In-n-out when I went there on a trip out to california, I would probably eat there regularly if there was one nearby.

They cook to order. Which is different than 'made to order'. The difference if you speak the English language is clear. They didn't precook the protein and assemble it right away.
They have a Drive-thru but it's not any faster because of that. They will give you a number and have you park ahead, 5-10 minutes later an employee will walk you out your food to your car. Tip not expected.

Every time I've gone there the patties were dry, they used chopped onions that had no flavor or crunch (previously frozen maybe?), and the buns were slathered in an awful neon mustard. It's inferior to Wendy's, BK, In n Out, McDonald's, and just about every other burger chain that isn't White Castle or Krystal.

Came here to post this.... Jesus they have some decent burgers. At some extended stay place that has a carl's Jr. right next door. Their $4 Real Deal is the best deal going right now. Spicy chicken sandwich, double cheeseburger, small fry, and small drink. Great deal. Had their Carl's Jr. burger and it was fucking delish. Hate to shill for them... But i've been impressed. Had one of their salads yesterday too... not terrible.

Burger king is my shit. Flame grilled deliciousness. Plus the whopper comes with all the fixin's and viggies that i like on my burger. Ive never gone to BK and got a fucked up sandwich. Every single fucking time i go to mcdonalds my sandwich looks like they threw the ingredients on my bun from across the room.

Eh I've pretty much given up fast food burgers just because shake shack is so much better. Worth the extra money and time. Their shakes aren't that great though. Limiting ourselves to sub par choices in fast food restaurants when others serve the same shit but better is dumb. I could probably go to sit down fancy restaurant and get a better burger but shake shack is a good balance between wait time/quality.
Although I do get take out burgers from local restaurants sometimes and that can be even quicker than fast food if timed right.
