I haven't eaten McDonalds in forever, but when I worked a shit job a block away from one I'd eat there a lot. I pretty much just got into a routine of taking the top bun off in a way that took most of the mayo off with it and then just scraping it off against the clamshell. The resulting amount of mayo left on the bun and lettuce was enough to be satisfactory.

Nah, it's pretty easy. You simply change the number of times the handle gets pulled for each sandwich. Large sandwich might be four pulls of the handle. Smaller sandwich gets only two.

Gotta return it if it's made wrong like that. Sometimes I order fries with no salt, just to get them fresh and not oversalted. Some locations here (Miami) have a heavy handed cuban descent employee going overboard on the sugar syrup with coffees, too. All of the McD's put no mayo on the Southern Chicken sandwich. Try upgrading to that one. It's a clone of #1 rated ChickFilA chicken sandwich with the single pickle slice, and nicely seasoned peppery breading on an actual whole (not pieces n parts) chicken breast. I think they do no mayo to keep it lower cal in nutrition facts, but it is juicy enough to skip it if you were a purist. If the lettuce is a must, just ask them to add it.
