Suddenly, mother nature has bestowed upon you the riches of shiitake mushrooms.
What do you do with them?
Do spore prints to make sure I don't kill myself.
Jappo hot pots. Oden, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, one of the gorillion nabes.
I picked up a big bag of them from Chinatown for a couple bucks. I've just been slicing them up in stirfries. Reconstituted dried shiitake are ideal for quiches, though. Fantastic flavor.

Lucky. They are $16 a pound here. When you can find them which is ultra rare.

Enjoy your tasty radioactive isotopes.

>Gout is a kind of arthritis. It can cause an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually a big toe.
>Asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, and mushrooms are higher in purines
>Purines (specific chemical compounds found in some foods) are broken down into uric acid. A diet rich in purines from certain sources can raise uric acid levels in the body, which sometimes leads to gout.
Interesting.

I don't live in Bavaria, the shiitake are in wood, not soil, and I grew them, they weren't shipped from Japan.

Round-up doesn't work on fungi to kill it. Instead it causes the fungi to produce deadly toxins.

>meals with 2 to 1 ratio of mushrooms
>still eating mushrooms after getting the fucking gout

Sell them. I hate mushrooms and they hate me, id rather give them to those who want them
I decided to fry up a batch with some chicken and sauce made with tomato puree, PHS, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cumin, brown sugar, and garlic powder.

You absolute madman. jk I feel you sorta. I have a bag of nutritional yeas in my cupboard waiting for some sort of usefulness. The first time I ate it I got horribly itchy. But I bought it so I'm gonna figure out a use for it eventually.
No thank you. I do not play 'mushroom roulette'
Ignore them and keep looking for morels.

Tempura the fuck out of them, throw them in stirfrys, any kind of hot pot, soups, stews. Basically feast like the mushroom king you are now.
Lurk homegrown threads and learn to make my own spore plugs.
Also, simple Japanese fare, like miso soup.
