I ate black tip and nurse shark a few times as a kid. Whenever we caught one while fishing, my dad would immediately gut it and let it drain. He would grill the shark steaks with some blackening seasoning. I wouldn't bother eating shark now, not that great tasting compared to other fish and aren't they full of mercury?

Shark is really good eating, really popular in south England.
If you catch a shark you have to skin it straight away as they piss through their skin and if you don't skin them it will leach into the flesh and make it taste llike piss.
