I honestly get annoyed with people who don't do at least some slightly less autistic version of this (I'm right up there with you, OP), and just buy whatever junk that they're going to have to use and look at every single day without giving it another thought.

This triggers me. I spent days carefully curating my registry so that any gift in any price range went with what we already had or would carry over when we make future purchases. Most (if not all) of our kitchen tools match or at least look like they belong together. It pleases me.

IF people wanted to get gifts. By no means were they required, but I had a lot of relatives ask where we were registered. It just helps give people ideas IF they want to bring a gift.

Constant tea and coffee window shopping. I've got pu erh I want to buy, and coffee from three different local roasters/other good quality places. This will obviously have to stretch out over months because I don't need 10 pounds of coffee off the bat, plus 300g of pu erh.
