What is the best brand of coffee beans? I have been drinking Illy from my moka pot, but it lacks flavor. Any suggestions? I can barely afford the nice $20 12oz since I use nice beans for pour over. Any good wholesale beans that aren't burnt like charcoal?

Ignore this. Ideally we could all have beans roasted and ground on the same day as you make the coffee, but that isn't realistic.
Beans bought from a supermarket can still make a great cup of coffee. I'm not sure what brands there are in stores in America though so I can't help you.
Happy mug

try local roasters in your city.
if you insist on buying from a local grocery store, try Seattle's Best or Peet's.
A local non-hipster roaster will have the best quality beans at an affordable price. Failing that, I hear they have some decent offerings at Costco.

There are a million brands. Nobody's tried them all so nobody's qualified to say.
find someone with a costco card to get one of the fair trade organic beans they sell .. it's like 2lbs for $15 or something
Eight o'clock is the best grocery store coffee. They don't roast dark so the beans don't taste burnt and they don't get all oily.
