First time making lasagna, is it better to buy regular or no-boil pasta?
Buy flour and eggs
mix that shit together
put it in the fridge for awhile
roll it out so thin you could read a book through it
boil that shit for like 30 seconds with some salt and olive oil
make lasagna
No boil is much more convenient. I would go for the easy way first time around.

Don't they make frozen lasagna sheets? I imagine those would be best. Unless you can find refrigerated ones, those would be even better

I usually use no-boil lasagna. Just make sure you have a decent amount of sauce and that the top layer is well covered otherwise they'll be dry and crunchy.

Into le trash it goes. Buy regular pasta. Cook it for two minutes less than what the box states. Make your bechamel more milky and less dense. It will cook using the moisture of the sauces.
One time my sister made a pesto/walnuts lasagna. She had the brilliant idea to NOT pre-cook the lasagna sheets. It was fucking RAWWWWWW. You can not pre-cook the lasagna if you have a notsothick sauce and maybe put mozzarellas in there.
