NYC here, there is a barbecue restaurant in my city that is supposedly very authentic and they serve wonder bread like that
I was disgusted at first but the waiter told me it was authentic, so now I think it's delicious
>>7412103
>full meal
>using a paper sheet as plate
this triggers me desu senpai

No. You don't see me going to Texas for Pizza.
>>7412152
That's pretty funny because I'm sure there are plenty of New Yorkers who would think that.
>>7412154
nigger there's a tray under there
>>7412155
you see how they show it going into the small container but then they just throw it on the tray without the small container? this tray is them showing off their menu and showing what you can order at once
From a place in my town. Great slow cooked meats in a buffet, only open for lunch.
>>7412162
they pretty much shipped in all the equipment from texas, including the cook
>>7412162
That's the stupidest fucking mentality. You don't have to be in New York to have genuine NY pizza and you don't have to be in Texas to make genuine Texas BBQ. The food isn't good because it's blessed with the air of its place of origin. It's good because it's made using the tried and true methods and quality ingredients of the people who invented it and made it good.
>>7412103
Holy fuck, I haven't eaten today and won't be able to eat for another 2 and a half hours. This is making me fucking salivate.
>>7412103
Literally more than a week's worth of food arranged on a plate. Fucking amazing.

Austin is such a shitty hipster city....
>>7412271
Definitely a hipster city, but I wouldn't say they ruin it altogether. Lots of things to check out as far as food.

I was born and raised in Alabama and currently live in Atlanta so trust me, I've had ample time to sample some good American 'Q. I'm not gonna deny, when American 'Q is good it's great, but it's much more difficult to find it through the heaps of shit and mediocrity. Most importantly, it's more often than not ridiculously overpriced (not that KBBQ isn't overpriced in some instances but at least it's all you can eat a lot of the time)
Luckily I can find good American BBQ here while simeaultaneously having access to the country's fastest growing Koreatown, pretty dank desu
Pic related is my fav KBBQ joint, 678. Apparently it's a chain in South Korea, and it's a little pricier than other places here on Buford Highway and Duluth, but it's worth it due to the meat quality and because of how they cook it: with charcoal. Just imagine, juicy cuts of marinated pork suffused with the aroma of charcoal, grilled and crisp pickled vegetables, that god tier cheesy corn, smothered in ssamjang...
>>7412091
The pickles look like the came out of a jar, the onions are raw, and the meat looks dry. Please post a proper Texas *barbecue image you piece of shit
>>7412103
That's glorious.
>>7413380
>678
>good
go to korea senpai. if not, cali or hawaii willl suffice. 678 is trash yakiniku
>>7412403
more like meme bbq
>>7413389
where else would pickles come from than a jar?
>>7413380
I wish I lived in GA due to dat Koreatown. I visited there like 2 weeks ago and it was fucking heaven. A fucking H Mart the size of a Walmart should exist in every city in America.
>>7413418
Yeah man, it's pretty fucking based.
Duluth is kind of the crown jewel of Koreatown with its glorious H Mart and KBBQ titans but Buford Highway is basically a treasure trove for any cuisine you can think of, especially Chinese and Mexican. Atlanta's Chinatown, while not a traditional Chinatown by any means (more like a food-court desu baka senpai), is still amazing.
There's a reason everyone is fat down here. Atlanta has an amazing smorgasbord of good eats from basically every cuisine on Earth, and a pretty dank native cuisine.
>>7412103
Okay that looks good.
>>7413389
You one dumb nigga, you've never even been there so shut the fuck up.
>>7412103
This is fucking BBQ, people.
>>7413416
A barrel
anyone know any good places in the north east? Missing the bbq from back home
Man this thread makes me want to move to Texas.
Are there any opening for electricians down in Texas? Hell whats the labor market like nowadays in the South for tradesworkers and electricians anyways?
Bbq in my country looks like this
>>7413500
You would fit right in, trade jobs/industrial very big down here
>>7413503
Well unless they take foreigners as apprentices hopefully there will still be jobs when I get my paperwork here in my country and can apply down there (Canada but I'm applying to be a unionized apprentice under the I.B.E.W. so maybe that will make it easier to get a work permit and apply).
