What do you mean? $1.40 would be a cheap meal at a restaurant, anywhere in America. It would be good for consumers, if it were a good meal, and terrible for restaurateurs.
If you're talking about a burger king hot dog, however, nobody would consider that a "meal", and the reality is it's going to cost a lot more than that, except for sales that promote it as a loss leader to sell higher-profit items like sugar water.

tried one yesterday for lunch. taste like a poorman's james coney. was not disappointed, since I wasn't expecting much. better off buying one of their bacon cheese burgers and fries, if burger king is a must.
Finally tried 2 about an hour ago. I still have a groupon for 2 and 2 smalls fries for $5 left, might use it later this week and never have hot dogs there again.
The dogs themselves are good. What would make it better would be making the dog bigger and serving better bread. I don't know how much these costs but without a groupon i wouldn't buy these. You're better off going to 7-Eleven and AMPM.
