I'm having homemade oven baked pasta shells filled with spinach dip paired with homemade blueberry-pomegranate wine.

I had a salad with butter lettuce, romano, cherry tomatoes, croutons, ground turkey I seasoned with some tandoori spices, and caesar dressing

I don't cook too often but I had an appetizer of Crescent rolls wrapped around some cello mushrooms, onions, garlic, and red pepper
Then I had Wild Sockeye Salmon, cooked with afformentioned veggies + tomato on the stove on low heat, covered with a lid. with some rice.
To drink I had some cran-tangerine juice (which honestly turned out to be a little too much food, and even though I had a small glass of juice it was a small glass too much)
Salad of several handfuls of kale spinach romain lettuce finely chopped onions green peppers 1 cup of blueberries seaseme seeds and some black beans with a glass of almond milk
Pretty good desu hopefully my heart gets better
Had a steak served with au jus and a salad with cream.

I put it in with the others to get green diversity, but yeah there is something off about it. I definitely enjoy the salad more when I leave it out.
I made a salad earlier today out of some lentils, red cabbage, green pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, green onion. parsley and mango. Put a vinaigrette on it made with red wine vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard, lemon zest and juice, honey, garlic, white pepper, cayenne and some salt.
Just finished having some of that for dinner along with a couple of lemon herb marinated chicken breasts that I seared in a cast iron skillet and finished in the oven.
Was pretty fucking tasty for basically being a thrown together "let's use up all the stuff in the fridge before it starts to go bad" meal..

I can dig it, but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks Romaine tastes off. It's a little bitter, and is probably why salad dressing was invented, because otherwise I don't use it.

I still don't use dressing cause there's enough other stuff in my salad that together in any given bite can overpower any potential romain, but yeah, if I only had that and one other ingredient like tomato or something, id have Add dressing.

For a while I thought I was weird for not enjoying it. I feel like spinach and I have a weird relationship too. The older I get the less I like cooked spinach, and the more I like raw spinach. My favorite pizza as a tyke was spinach slices actually, nowadays I would can barely stand it cooked (although spinach slices of pizza are probably the least offensive variety of cooked spinach to me because of that nostalgia)

Reverse for me. I could tolerate raw spinach as a kid, though I didn't seek it out or anything, but I couldn't stand cooked spinach at all. Now I love it in soups and stuff. Also grown to like the raw a lot more.

threw some vac packed salmon in the sous vide, then speed peeled some carrots, courgettes and broccoli stem, sauteed them with capers and parsley, finished the salmon skin with butter and reduced some white wine in the pan which i thickened with an egg yolk.
probably spent less than 10 minutes actually cooking and used up a bunch of stuff from the fridge

Shrimp were on sale so I picked up some of those and sauteed them then added them to some indomie. And also an egg. Such is the life of a university student - whole dish cost around $1,50
