anyone make kimchi here?
i'm gonna try for the first time this week
any good recipes or tips or anything?
i couldn't find napa cabbage so i just am gonna use green
theres a local korean restaurant and they make all their stuff homeade. i suggest you just stop by a local korean restaurant and pay them to show you what to do. maybe 10 bucks for a tour?
I haven't in about a year now, but I know how to make kimchi, yes.

I know how to make kimchi, but I usually don't because it's easier to buy it from the tiny Korean lady at the local market.
I've never done or had it with green cabbage, though. Have you considered making a different type of kimchi instead of baechu?

Place near me makes scallion kim chee. It's inexpensive. I wouldn't try making my own for any reason. My cost of chilies, napa, scallions make it cost prohibitive versus this grandma version at a great asian market. I don't even buy her other 15 versions of kimchee, cause I'm addicted to the scallion sweetness and texture.
