2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)

Sour cream, mayo and olive oil really aren't needed because avocados are very fatty to begin with. They don't need fat added to them. You're just fucking up a simple dish because you want more fat with your fat.

But you don't even need olive oil even for chunky style.. You could mash a portion of the avocado with salt and lime juice, then leave the rest chunky and it will still hold together. No reason to add more fat to avocado.

I'd go with less lime, just a touch. I learned this after a lifetime of making complicated guacamole. I moved to Mexico and was amazed to find the guacamole better than mine and much simpler. don't overthink perfection.

Garlic is way to overpowering for avacado, IMO . Tomato is good if made and eaten right away, but there is a reaction and they let off thier juice, making it slimy in a very short time.

Man, people sure do get upset over sour cream in their guacamole. In my household, they've always been separate condiments added to quesadillas or what have you. But I can understand that if you're just going to have both anyway, it doesn't really matter if they're combined to begin with. I don't go in for it, but it really shouldn't come as any surprise that many people do.

Red Onion (given)
Cilantro (given)
Fresh Lime Juice (given)

Now here's where you can get creative. Rather than some diced tomato you can put in seeded and diced cucumber, diced mango, diced strawberry, pomegranate seeds, raspberries and all kinds of shit.

You can also opt to go for the deconstructed route and keep your avocado diced without breaking it up too much.

Then you can gently toss with rinsed low sodium black beans, corn, diced bell peppers, celery, red onion, cilantro, whatever the fuck you want. Can toss with a vinaigrette built around some chili pepper, lime juice and olive oil.

The avocado, red onion, cilantro, garlic, lime flavor base is so fucking hard to screw up you can literally start experimenting with whatever.

Here is my secret to superioriest Guac.

See this motherfucker right here, it's the pit, here's what you do.

>cut in half
>slice as thinly as possible
>decorate guac with them

They really compliment the guac, add some texture, nutritionally amazing and compliment the color well. Everyone always asks me what those nut slices on my guac are.
