Uh,question if I boil vegetables in milk will the milk then gain the vegetable flavor and then be able to be used as a kind of sauce?if yes will it be good or just plain gross?

Rather than boiling it in milk, saute the vegetables in butter. slowly add a little flour to thicken it (Look up making a roux)
Then slowly add milk to desired quantity and thickness.

It's also how you make cheese sauce for Macaroni and Cheese. Add the cheese slowly while stirring after the milk is in.

I vaguely recall some guy doing some period cooking which involved boiling vegetables in milk with the milk later being used as a sauce for something.
So someone has at least done it.
