I was reminded of this the other day and have been craving it ever since. It's a slightly sweet, steamed bun stuffed with a tangy pork or chicken mixture. There's a soy based dipping sauce that comes with it and the whole thing is godly as fuck.

We got a recipe for it from our Filipino neighbor when I was younger. It's a Chinese dish by origin, I'm pretty sure.

They're fairly easy to make but time consuming. In a pinch, Trader Joe's has frozen ones that are pretty good.

I guess to sort of contribute to the thread, I haven't heard all that much on jambalaya. Maybe it's just the communities I've been involved with, but nobody really cooks or knows all that much about it or spicy creole/cajun dishes in general.

It sucks, because I love me some jambalaya. It's top-tier winter food, right next to hearty stews and soups.
