Bought this earlier. What should I throw this bad boy on? What's your favorite aioli?
You should mix that meme infused mayo w/ some meme-sirachia and pour it over some meme-bacon
On a serious note, probably anything mayo/aioli is used for; update with how it tastes
>>7380974
I love me some 'racha
My local micro brew makes an incredible Truffle Aioli Infused Porter
You should throw that bad boy on death row.
Tastes like heaven Tbh. But I'm a sucker for truffles; bad genetics probably. Gonna make some sammies tomorrow with that bad boy. Maybe buy some white fish too
>>7380987
Fuck me I'm a walking meme I would buy a tall glass of this to atleast try it.
Is aioli a meme? It's just flavored mayo
>>7381176
everything is a meme according to ck, even bacon.
ontopic, aioli is great with fries, potatotes, bread and so on
>>7381221
Don't get me wrong it tastes great but do people actually think they're eating something fancy when the put it on stuff?
>>7381228
no, why would they think that?
Why on earth wouldn't you make your own?
Aioli and mayonnaise are two of the most customizable and tasty home-made sauces/condiments in existence.
Buying mayonnaise is for fat americans with no tastebuds
>>7381228
of course, but only if you tell them.
The difference between truffle and rotten garlic is the price.
Anyone got a DiY recipe for some of this bad boy? I'd love to make my own
>>7380962
>buying aoli instead of making it
this is only acceptable for mayo
>>7382868
well played good sir
>>7382868
enjoy
>>7382868
wtf is that?
>>7382875
prime butthole
>>7382875
A balloon knot
Truffles anyone?
>>7381176
aioli is NOT flavored mayo REEEE
>>7382868
>get warned for funposting
>ACTUAL BUTTHOLE IS OKAY THO
mods fuck you
>>7380962
make patatas bravas...
only use for aoli
>>7383288
>only use for alioli*
fix'd
also no, it's not the only use it has. Goes PERFECT with seafood paella or seafood fideuà.
Pic related, my favorite ready made alioli.
>>7383299
can someone please explain to me wtf alioli is? specifically the one in that pic?
>>7384015
aoli is just a fancy smancy name for mayo
>>7384035
but what's fancy about them? there has to be some difference between it and mayo, right?
>>7384041
not really, calling it aoli is supposed to signify that it's fresh made in house
>>7382197
Because us poor fags can't afford truffles.
>>7384015
I hid the answer on google. Try to find it.
>>7384053
meh, I live in the u.s. so even with express priority alpha shipping I'd be getting a substandard product as far as truffles go
>>7384067
I hid the rope in your bedroom. Hang yourself.
What does y'all think of making a rosemary aioli? How would YOU go about it?
>>7384351
Egg, oil, minced rosemary, minced garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice, maybe some dijon mustard. Put it in a blender or whisk the fuck out of it in a bowl until it's the consistency you want.
>>7384362
Have you made aioli before? What are your favorite flavors or blends? Shallot aioli sounds good too
>>7384410
I've made it many times. I usually go for garlic and some fresh herbs, sometimes some cayenne or crushed red pepper if i want it spicy.
>>7384447
Thanks anon. I'll try making this sometime. Now to learn how to make tomato sauce from scratch...
>>7380962
your mom's
fuck off with the fucking memes
>>7384015
I couldn't explain it better:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aioli
so, can I use Aoili on potatoes / french fries?
>>7385538
You can use anything you want with anything you want. It's food. Especially so with potatoes. Aioli goes with pretty much anything.
I can I throw that bad boy in with some pasta sauce?
>>7385658
Can you define pasta sauce? I'm not familiar with that term.
>>7384015
dont listen to >>7384035 he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about
>Since the late 1980s, it has become fashionable to call all flavored mayonnaises "aioli", with flavorings such as saffron, chili, and so on. However true aioli is defined and derived only from techniques used only by hand ("flavored mayonnaise can contain garlic, but true aïoli contains no seasoning but garlic".
If you go to a proper place in spain/southern france it won't even have egg in it, but a lot of places have forgone that for the sake of ease of preparation.
The fun thing about aioli is that is impresses everyone at dinner.
>>7386535
It's got preservatives in it but seems fine otherwise
>>7386535
I really like it a lot. Goes very well with pic related
>>7386621
Imagine you're throwing some strong garlic mayo in there. Maybe it's not a good idea after all (imho) but if you venture to try it, why not?
>>7380962
i don't think i've ever bought aioli but i make my own, i usually have a bit of mustard, lemon and garlic in mine.
>>7386658
What kind of mustard? Oil?
Put some of the truffle aioli on my ramen. It was delicious
>>7380984
But anon, thats not an aioli!
>>7387824
Add some to aioli when you make it.
>>7387853
Well, it's aioli so yes, it generally has egg yolk in it.
>>7387868
Won't The eggs curdle from the sriracha?
>>7387879
Not if it's properly emulsified.
>>7387824
Traditionally it's a provencale condiment made by emulsifying egg yolk, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. Essentially, a garlic-lemon mayo.
These days, any flavoured mayonnaise is often referred to as an "aioli" although such usage of the word is not traditional.
So sriracha aioli? It would be a sriracha flavoured mayonnaise. Simple as that.
>>7387882
How would YOU do it?
>>7387895
Make aioli, add some sriracha.
