I just had steel cut oats for the first time today with a nice glob of extra chunky peanut butter and blueberries mixed in.
My god, why didn't my mother make this shit for me as a kid? I always hated oatmeal caus I've always been fed that instant shit that doesn't even have any chewable oats in it.

I have a ritual called ‘terminator’. I crouch in the shower in the “naked terminator” pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Sometimes I like to eat a dry spoonfull of oats and just chew it for a bit.
I love the flavor and texture of it as it slowly gets moist in my mouth.
As far as I know there haven't been any bad side effects from doing it, so i'll keep on until I hear otherwise.
