Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to dropping alcohol from my diet. However, I can't stand sweet or bland drinks, I need something with a punch, some bite.
What are your suggestions? I have heard about using angostura bitters and tonic water, both sound good to me. Nutmeg, ginger, pepper and some other stuff seem cool.
Anything else in your minds?
I know bitters contain alcohol, but since usually only a few drops are necessary, it's no big deal.
I've tried non-alcoholic beers, some are fine, but those are hard to find nearby. I usually run into really crappy ones. Bought a NA Paulaner today, I'm going to try it tonight with the wife.

just drink tonic water or fizzy water with a slice of lemon
Verjuice, mint leaves, that sort of stuff? Look up virgin cocktails maybe.
Cold Canada Dry ginger ale.

Maybe kambucha. I tried it last week and it was ok; I could see myself liking it the more I drank it.

Try 1 oz orgeat, 2 oz lemon juice, and 3 oz seltzer water with a dash of lemon or orange bitters.

Anything like the non alcoholic equivalent of ouzo?

You have it right with Angostura bitters, there are others so try those out as well.

I drank a whole bottle of Angosura on night since I had nothing better to do and my piss was red the next day. I thought I was pissing blood until I remembered that I drank the bottle of Angostura.
A bottle of Angostura for red piss and a bag of guacamole Doritos for the green shit to freak out a girlfriend.
Good times were had by all.
Go with gazpacho my friend
