What does /ck/ think of Lychee?
I pick some up fresh every now and again, just bought some today. They remind of soap, I love them so much.
Does anyone know of any cool recipes for them besides eatin em raw?

I got a bunch of seedless lychees once and it was fucking end game

They have such a nice, feminine perfume smell to them, its oddly enticing.
They taste like a bar of fancy Soap, which again, oddly enticing. I love these little faggots. Theyre supposedly good for reducing Tumor growth.
They've been on sale here for the last week or so, presumably in season just now
I've been eating them on the way to the gym every day and throughout the day, they're like swallowing eyeballs but really fucking refreshing and tasty.
Also packed with Vitamin C and B6's etc
Protip: Tea made from lychee peelings is said to cure smallpox and diarrhea. In India, the seeds are ground to make tea for stomach trouble. Parts of the bark, root, and lychee flowers are gargled for sore throat.

There's really little actual fruit in the ones with seeds.

wat
stop buying shitty lychees
also seeded lychees are more fragrant than boring only sweet seedless
You guys make them sound delicious. Where do I even get lychees?

They sell them around christmas here in supermarkets, but it depends, if you live in flyoverville they might not have them.

Theyre definately a unique taste and texture.
Think of eating a Gummy-Candy-Texture with a strong, sweet odor and taste.
Like >>7368551 said, theyre really juicey and refreshing, especially when popped in the fridge for a bit.
You can find canned Lychee, Lychee jelly and stuff at most ethnic markets or farmers markets, depending where you are.

I've found them in Asian supermarkets and in supermarkets that while not Asian themed are owned by Asians. Just look around for something like that.

Asian Supermarkets have them in stock almost always.
As a personal preference, get canned or fresh Lychee. And especially try to find seeded ones, or ones that had the seeds plucked out. The aroma is much sweeter with natural seeded ones.
