i just spent half of my paycheck and ordered this to come to my home in kazakhstan

it will be glorious
>>

Holy fuck that sounds good. I may be an amerilard, but I'm sick of overly sweet pastries and desserts.

Good call on that one. You best savor every bite, buddy.

well that was dumb, shit's easy to make yourself
>>

Kek, the price of the 6 inches pie is my whole food budget for a week.
>>
>>7367041
Even factoring in insane shipping, that's still a shitty paycheck.
>>
>>7367065
Just checked UPS for next day food worldwide to select countries only shipping, $470 for shipping. so his paycheck would be something like $1100 not good but not that bad after all.
>>
>>7367021

Ouch! That's expensive!
>>
Looks super tempting, OP. I don't blame you.
>>
>>7367021
Looks delciious, any ideas for the filling? Plain vanilla custard or maybe something else?
>>
>>7367143

the image says creme pat dude
>>
You're paying all that for pancakes and whipped cream, senpai? I'd make them for you for 20 bucks :/
>>
>>7367146
Oh come on, i didn't mean the OPs one, i'm just curious what would go nicely into this cake, imma make one soon.
>>
>>7367052

are you a kazakh too?
>>

maple creme pat

alternating layers of chocolate ganache and creme pat with peanut brittle folded in

banana and lime

apricot jam and pistachio cream

there's lots of play for fun flavours but restraint is key
>>
>>7367159
Not your cited one but, c'mon i live in central europe and $45 a week is more than enough to fill my fridge and eat fine imported stuff.
>>
>>7367171
Thanks, i'm always hestitant when trying flavours with crepes, i'm always afraid that it will overcome the subtle taste of crepe itself.
>>
>>7367021
why. crepes and pastry creme are like the easiest and cheapest shit to make. even a novice can make crepe
>>
>>7367159
No, I'm a uni student in London. So the fact that I live on 31 squid per week, based on conversion rates, says a lot about my priorities.

there's a joke about people who care about money settling for 6 inches in there

Oh, hey, I've had this before. There's this cool bakery near where I live in SoCal... Shit, I can't remember the name. But I had it after seeing Frozen.

looks delish, OP

also, i'm literally laughing at all those sour faggots who think they could make this at home
mille crepe is one of the most difficult cakes to do properly
everyone can make 20 pancakes and smear shit inbetween them, but that won't be a proper mille crepe

but he's probably very rich for kazak standards with a 1000$ monthly paycheck
>>
Why does food marketing use the most obnoxious buzzwords?

>>7367856
I've made this before with my sister for my mom's birthday once. The only thing I could even call difficult is trying to make the crepes perfectly circular. If you have the technical abilities to make a pancake then you can make a mille crepe

Someone never made it past 6th grade math class apparently. It's literally... stupid simple to calculate and the fact you're unaware of why this would not make sense without the calculation is unsettling. You would in actuality be spending more money and ending up with LESS product than had you only purchased a single 9 inch crepe cake whatever the fuck it is
>>
>>7368431
>spending more money and ending up with LESS product than had you only purchased a single 9 inch crepe cake
The 9 inch cake costs $8.89 per inch while the 6 inch cake costs $7.50 per inch.

Nigga that's only 52k a year, that's not much at all.

I've never had one of these. I've never even had crepes.

It looks good, but the poorfag in me can't imagine spending $50+ on a cake. It couldn't possibly be that good. Hope you enjoy it though.
>>
>>7369400
>I've never even had crepes

how is that even possible
>>
>>7368461

One 9 inch is about 7 sq. inches more than two 6 inch cakes. which would be about three or so bites.

>>

Dunno. It's never really been something I was interested in trying. I'd have to make my own of course. I don't even know of a restaurant that would sell them. Maybe IHOP. I don't even eat pancakes that often. I've made them, maybe four times, in the past two years.

If I made them, I'd probably make sweet ones with fruit. I'd have to make the filling. I'd have to spend extra on fruit. Bananas are fairly cheap, so I'd probably do banana.

Maybe I'll wait for peach season when they go on sale. Remind me in the summer and I'll give it a try.
>>
>>7370338
literally any restaurant can and will make pancakes as a dessert if you order them

i usually throw a hiss at the waiter if he says they don't serve pancakes and it ALWAYS works. sometimes i don't even have to pay for them.
>>
>>7370338

anon its so easy to make crepes. I literally just throw jelly or preserves in there are wrap it up
>>
>mille crepe

It's "mille feuille" you dumb fuckfaces

Holy shit how did we go an entire thread without someone saying this. Why is the company that's selling these not using the right term?
>>
>>7372202
Maybe because mille feuille is a different pastry (with no crèpes at all).
This one made with crèpes is either named "mille crèpes" or "mille feuille de crèpes".
>>
>>7370338
Don't forget to do a line of coke before attempting crepes, otherwise they'll turn out subpar

I don't eat out a lot and the only jelly I have is the standard Welchs grape squeeze bottle.

I'm really leaning towards banana. Maybe lemon. It seems like the kind of thing that would be light and easy to eat. Compared to pancakes which can be kind of heavy.

>>7372336
He's having a very good day. My crepes probably won't look anywhere near that nice. My pancakes don't even always come out perfectly round.

Yeah we know how many weeks are in a year, he's saying that someone would probably have a salary of around 75k per year to be taking home $1000 a week after taxes. That's certainly upper middle class depending on the number of members in your household.
