I have vague memories of going to our local grocery store with my mother when I was very little and staring through the glass in the frozen food section at a blue box with cartoons on it.
I never got one but it was one of my childhood 'wants' that was just out of reach. So sad.
>>
That shit is like the lowest of the low.
But for some reason, I have always wanted to try one.

I haven't seen a microwavable steak besides a salisbury one. What's it like? Does it really come with lettuce and tomatoes?
pic related is my favorite. it looks like trash, and they're awful for you, but Great Value (walmart brand) cheeseburgers are my biggest vice
>>
>>7367131
No it doesn't. It's just a piece of meat that has this butter sauce that melts on it.
There's a lot of juice in with the meat that you can re-dip it in. It's really good.
I don't usually like meat in frozen dinners, but these taste good as fuck.

My favourites are these steamer meals. Vegetable lasagnas too. And pies.

I don't think I've ever really had a "bad" microwaveable meal. Usually some are just way too salty, which is weird because I mean they're frozen, you don't need to preserve it.
>>
>>7367299
I agree with this anon

I can also vouch for Vij's frozen dishes (honestly not much worse than his restauraunt, the food isn't spectacular, might as well just eat the frozen stuff).

>20 grams of protein
HOLY SHIT
>>
>>7367357
Right? I like to buy these $1 frozen walmart meals for when I'm too lazy to do shit, and the little spaghetti with just regular old sauce has 10g of protein in it. It's just pasta and tomato sauce!
>>
>>7367364
most likely there are more carbs in there than protein.
>>
>>7367352
>>7367357
The trick is it's vegetable protein ie soy

I ate at the Nighthawk on Congress a few times when I was a kid, the old Frisco shop on Burnet(?) did a good Top't Chop't. I haven't eaten at the new Frisco shop since I moved years ago.

But yes, Nighthawk dinners are pretty good, just high in Na.

>chugs a bottle of soybean oil
fuck you bro. You're just a pudgy little man who can't comprehend the power of protein!
>>
>>7367271
same. I just bought one earlier. It's the most tasty when oven baked
>>
>>7367322
those things are super expensive, at least around here. I usually get tasty bite packs (not frozen though) if I feel like lazy indian food.
>>
>>7367131
Fuck those burgers. They're really shitty but they're somehow delicious. I don't know why.

This, desu, unless you're lucky enough to live in Louisiana and have savoies and richards frozen dinners readily available.

Let me pre-emptivly redact the "lucky" part about living in Louisiana. Aside from the food, it's shit.

the vegetable one is better in everyway

this one is god tier, tons of meat, more than any other frozen meal in the entire aisle hands down

my favorite one i forgot the brand name, but its imported frozen curry meals from india , i make a cup of rice and cook some extra chicken to go with it, because the meals are so small but the sauce is sooo good

I haven't done mayo and ketchup, I've tried..

an actual spicy hot sauce (best)
another slice of cheese (okay)
mustard (takes away from the cheap fake flavor)
a piece of chicken (worst, ruined everything)

>>7367102

they had one with blueberry icecream that was amazing
