Is there a way to get guacamoles to ripen faster? I've had them on the counter since the weekend, next to some other fruit, and they're currently brown but not soft like they should be.
I sort of need them by tomorrow evening.

Put them in a brown paper bag
Please be careful as they can go rancid due to their high fat content

Stick them in a paper bag along with a banana. Remember they don't need to be too soft, you want them firm, only slightly squishy.

Fruit ripens because of a certain gas it exhudes, so putting them in the bag will keep them absolutely immersed in it, which will accelerate the process. The banana is optional, of course, but it helps in case of emergency because it liberates a shit-ton of the thing.

Can you have too much of the gas? I mean, would cling film work even faster, or would that ruin it?

I just assumed op was using short hand.
I can't believe no one sperged out about OP calling avocados guacamoles
I'm proud of you /ck/

It was a joke. Calm down, anon.
i eat a half avocado for lunch at work really often so i just have a designated brown paper bag i throw them all in.
make sure nobody mistakens it for trash, though

that's such a weird thing to call your store. i wonder who is the target demographic.
people actually eat this memefruit?
I've had it once in sushi and it's absolutely disgusting and unnecessarily expensive

nothing tastes quite like it, why else? mangoes are pretty expensive too, but it's not like there's a cheap mango substitute.

if the apparel is anything to go by, then girls. there's also a few home items, candles, "alternative food/snacks" (read: chai powder, kale chips, 'artisan' chocolate) and i've only ever seen the store in train stations.
it doesnt clarify the name at all though

Once your parents let you eat on your own, you'll find food that isn't microwaved tastes good too!

I live in california and it's still expensive $1 for shitty hass.
Sometimes a relative gives us some from their tree and it's fucking amazing. Creamy and shits all over store avocados.
Farmers markets may also carry diff varieties.

MN is $1 right now too in the winter. Sometimes they are $1.25, but that is rare. Regardless, it is a fucking dollar. If I had no other expenses, I could afford to eat 42 of them every hour during the working day.
