I make a lot of pizza from scratch and was wondering what people normally put in their pizza sauce. Normally I stir together 1-1.5 cups of tomato sauce (depending on whether it's store-bought or shit from the tomatoes from my mom's garden), and 1-1.5 tbsp of oregano, garlic powder and basil, respectively.
It works pretty well but I feel like there's more I could add, I'm just not sure what.
>this is the only thing I can bake but I'll probably branch out more as time goes on; I did make soft pretzels once but they weren't worth the effort when I can buy them for like $1 at Sheetz

why go through the trouble when you can buy pizza sauce for the same price as canned tomatoes.

Why not just buy a frozen crust that comes with the sauce and cheese already applied?
>>7358496
Why bother making it when you can pick it up already made from a pizza place?

Why pick up the pizza when it's easier to call and have it delivered?

why endure the trouble of eating pizza when you could just blend & drink it?

Tomatoes that are in season > canned whole San Marzanos > not in season tomatoes

Nope

Take a clove of garlic and dice it.
I understand that you may be a negro but it's not that hard to figure out.

Yep
1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1Tbs evoo
1 tsp dried oregano
There you go. That's all you need.
You could also do
1tsp minced garlic
1tsp honey
1Tbs basalmic vinegar
1Tbs pecorino Romano
1 tsp dried basil
I use
peeled tomatoes 3
one onion
1-2 clove of garlic
some pepper
some oil but very small amount
Put oil with chopped onion and garlic on pan
add some pepper
fry it for some time
add cut in pieces tomato (you can add at this point some tabasco for spice)
stew it for some minutes and then leave it without cover so it will reduce
The sauce will have frail taste but it is okay it will be good after making a pizza because it won't disturb taste of other things
here's an alternative:

instead of tomato sauce, just season some creme fraiche, and cover some thinly rolled dough, then top with whatever you want, and cook in a hot oven c10mins

Its fine that way
I sually let it simmer for like one hour so all the flavours are harmonized and the sauce is pretty thick
