New York here. Ordinarily I would never suggest venturing into New Jersey, but in this case it appears you have shitty state-controlled liquor stores, so you might want to make an exception.

It looks like your neighborhood Total Wine has common stuff like "Wandering Poet" and "Bride of the Fox", those are perfectly good sakes. They also have Momokawa which is a shade better than Gekkeikan but that's not saying much.

Just watch the date codes and don't buy sake more than a year old.
