I ate a whole beetroot last night. Nothing spicy.

When I took a shit this morning, it felt hot, as if I had been eating whole chillies instead.

What gives? Does the red pigment make my anus sensitive or something?

Also interesting thought, if pee becomes pink from beets, this means the Pigment also stains the blood. And because our organs are pumped with blood, our organs must look pink after eating lots of beets.

If you ate it raw, it could be oxalates. Sometimes raw beets or chard burn my mouth a little because of their naturally occurring oxalates
