What are some store bought teas to try for a tea beginner?
not any earl grey
barely even tea
flowery garbage
everyday teas:
>top tier
Yorkshire tea
Lipton yellow label (I've read a lot on the internet about it being garbage, and so think there might be 2 versions. the one i get from ethnic shops in England is the one I'm talking about, nice strong buzz. the other must be some abomination for the amerifat market. avoid that.)
>good tier
PG tips
>ok but overrated by women because they like the packaging / idea of being fancy tier
Twinings everyday tea
>bitter piss water with no buzz tier
Tetleys, Typhoo

you're doing it wrong
git gud, faggots
>hurr durr, I drink and do drugs, I'm so hardcore i need to wave my e-peen on a Malaysian noodle discussion picture forum
It's Friday night but instead of getting wrecked like i used to, I'm in my big comfy chair at home, heating on, in my comfy clothes (jogging bottoms, hoodie, dressing gown and three pairs of progressively bigger socks), listening to some mellow lounge jazz getting a nice buzz on from strong mugs of Yorkshire tea, shitposting on 4chens.
being comfy is the true red pill.

TNG memes aside, I find the bergamot oil in Earl Grey overpowers everything. I prefer unflavored black teas.

If you're going for English tea, Yorkshire Tea is alright (Yorkshire Gold is better and is my everyday, and I'm about to make another cuppa). Lancashire Tea is also pretty good.
Twining's have changed the recipe of their Earl Grey, the charlatans, and although their fruit infusions are okay, their black teas are absolute weak shite.

yellow toothed tea drinking limey faggot here.
can confirm this is 100% correct, yorkshire tea is the daddy.
gonna try lipton now just on this rec.
tried all the others and anon's rankings are spot on.
Assam tea. Its nice and strong so you can still have milk and maintain the rich taste of the tea.
Got a few packets of this in a Twinings variety pack someone gave me and I really dug it. Anyone else like LG?
Mighty Leaf, Tazo, and Yogi teas are all pretty decent. Although personally I've been a fan of Adamo tea lately, but I always order that off of Amazon. Not sure how they rank for quality, but the price is pretty nice. I find they taste pretty decent myself. In a way I'd prefer not to get to too high of an echelon of tea appreciation, because then I'd be breaking the bank just to get my tea.
