Shrimp surimi is off putting because of the texture. It's ok if deep fried. Crab surimi is great when it's heated up and is awesome in hotpot. Fishballs and fish tofu are pretty good too.

I usually buy this crap when it goes on sale. You can unroll it into a fairly flat sheet, then peel off individual ribs of the sheet and eat it like string cheese.
The best part is seeing how they apply the red color to just the top of the stick. I like to get a sheet of nori, put a couple of these krab sticks in, put some cucumber and cream cheese and eat a sushi burrito of sorts.
