I'm trying to steam some frozen broccoli tonight with some white rice in a rice cooker.
I don't know shit about cooking desu and I'm wondering: How long should the broccoli be in the rice cooker steaming?
Will it get saturated and soggy and shitty if I leave it in the whole time?
Does it even matter?
They're basically cooked already. So it depends how crunchy you like your vegetables. Everyone seems to love soft vegetables but I think they're kinda gross that way. Just check them every couple minutes.
Anything more than a minute or two and it will be mush.
If your rice cooker doesn't have a steamer basket and you're planning on just throwing it right on top your rice will taste like broccoli.
Pan fry with a little oil and whatever seasonings. Same-ish duration.

>your rice will taste like broccoli.
is that suppose to be bad?

Depends on how overcooked it is.

it will be disgusting if you leave it in the whole time. instead of putting it in there and constantly checking on it, save yourself the trouble and just stick it in the microwave for a couple minutes shortly before you plan to eat it.
or pan fry it as suggested
