I'm not saying Francis isn't at death's doggy door, but I think you're misinterpreting the video.
That's Francis in the picture. The voice over is supposed to be Chef's daughter, off-screen somewhere, not the voice of the dog. Chef is the lady, who is also at death's door. Her daughter is probably a human.
