couldnt find any alcohol threads other than beer threads, can any of you cu/ck/s suggest a good starter whiskey to me? I drink IPA's heavily now but am trying to lay off the beer and lose the beer gut. havent really experimented with whiskey at all other than jack daniels and coke or crown royal which i both enjoy mixed. but i want to cut the soda and get into drinking whiskey straight. Dont know much about whiskey but I had a shot of johnny walker blue label once which i really enjoyed but far too expensive for me. im canadian if it helps.
tl;dr looking for a good starter whiskey to drink straight on a budget
