Foods which you can't understand why people like them
I'll start
>tripe
>blue steak
>hipster grains/seeds/vegetables
>fucking arugula
Kale
>>7319274
Kale is hard to make delicious but when you get it right it can taste amazing
Arugula, on the other hand...
Oh look, another picky eater thread.
Just what we needed.
>>7319274
Kale is good in juices and smoothies, if I want greens I'll just eat mustard or collard greens.
>>7319286
I'm not a picky eater you fucking faggot. Those 5 foods and dick are the only things I won't happily shove down my throat. FUCK tripe, FUCK alfalfa or whatever, and FUUUUUCCCKK YOOOUUUUUUU
POMEGRANATE SEEDS FFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>>7319279
Is tremendous on pizza
>>7319271
>Not liking arugula
Flyover, plz go
>>7319309
I didn't know you enjoyed eating things that literally taste like dirt, anon
There's only three foods I've tried so far that I don't truly enjoy. I eat them and they're ok I guess I just don't see how people can really like them.
Brussel sprouts
Eggs
Olives
>>7319271
Tripe has the unfortunate problem of looking really bad but if you try it you might like it.
>>7319314
It doesn't taste like dirt though
Don't know why I'm even bothering though, this is clearly the stunted manchild thread so I'll move along
>>7319325
eggs can be pretty good scrambled if you whisk them together with a slice of soft cheese
>>7319373
Yeah eggs with cheese is the only way to do eggs
Side note: you know how much cholesterol eggs supposedly have? That shit's crazy
>>7319271
>Mushrooms
Not only because of the flavor but because of the way people talk about them in general. "Hurr durr, have you tried mushrooms made like this?" Yes, i threw up 3 hours later and it tasted like the anus of a 46 year old cambodian man when i ate the mushrooms. "But mushrooms take up the flavor of anything it's incorporated with!" So why do you put them in you fucking cu/ck/ and they do have a taste, a distinctive taste of browneye baka desu senpai.
>Olives
On anything, in anything. Inedible, instantly fucking inedible.
>Pineapple
This is not a hate type of thing, i just don't like it. I can see why some people do, but it's not for me.
>>7319271
Bitter melon
I have tried it and i can't understand why anyone would enjoy it.
>>7319410
GOOD mushrooms shouldn't taste like what they're surrounded by. They should taste nutty and slightly stiff.
>>7319412
It's gross. It's a contest to see who can say they like it the longest.
>>7319420
If nutty and slightly stiff is the same as the sphincter of a 45 year old Somalian mother than yes, you are absolutely correct.
>>7319306
Dried pomegranate seeds are amazing. Fresh...not that great.
>>7319431
Stop eating shitty quality mushrooms.
I only get my fungi from the sweetest asses of transsexual Thai women.
Peanut butter. Sorry but it tastes like fucking shit. I only like it when its combined with chocolate in desserts. Otherwise, horrible.
I've consumed both urine and celery, and they taste similar.
>>7319446
Oh the ladyboys huh?
What's the flavor of those more like, truffles or shitake?
Even if eaten from a traps pink asshole i don't think i can ever into mushrooms m8...
Bell peppers. If I wanted peppers I'd have a fucking hot one.

I once ate a raw egg from some Korean spa and I'm not Korean but I came with friends so I was like let's pretend to be Korean.
I love Korean fushion food but Jesus once I was eating noodles and I just kinda paused and the cooks came to me and gave me a pair of scissors because I don't have incisors like a fucking Saber to chew their noodles.
Then their fucking eggs. I had one taste and I immediately cringed. I love eggs, but I have no idea how anyone can eat them raw or sunside or whatever. They don't taste bad, I just reject them.
>Exposure, plain and simple. Scientists tell us that aversions fade away when we eat moderate doses of the hated foods at moderate intervals, especially if the food is complex and new to us. (Don't try this with allergies, but don't cheat either: few of us have genuine food allergies.) Exposure works by overcoming our innate neophobia, the omnivore's fear of new foods that balances the biological urge to explore for them. Did you know that babies who are breast-fed will later have less trouble with novel foods than those who are given formula? The variety of flavors that make their way into breast milk from the mother's diet prepares the infant for the culinary surprises that lie ahead. Most parents give up trying novel foods on their weanlings after two or three attempts and then complain to the pediatrician; this may be the most common cause of fussy eaters and finicky adults--of omnivores manqués. Most babies will accept nearly anything after eight or ten tries.
This song of a bitch.
>>7319271
Hipster grains/ seeds/ vegetables being any grains/ seeds/ vegetable you don't like I'm guessing
Wings
>messy
>have very little meat
>dark meat
>>7319671
>i was only pretending to be a fat slob
>>7319671
Wings are supposed to be a cheap loss-leader to encourage beer consumption.
>>7319410
What kind of shit olives do you even get in ameriland, anon? You've probably never had decent ones.
>>7319691
>wings
>loss leader
They are literally scraps of meat. Nobody is taking a loss selling them for $0.50 - $1.50 a piece.
>>7319725
If you're paying more than twenty-five cents a wing, you're paying too much.
>>7319716
I didn't know Carnac the Magnificent posted on /ck/.
Mushrooms.
>>7319305
> he doesn't like shoving dick down his throat
>>7319274
Kale is typically put in soups and stews in Europe. Nobody eats it raw.
>>7320075
Kale stew with pepper is fucking amazing as a side.
Like mashed potatoes but with actual flavor and less starch.
>>7319667
>He doesn't like the king of fruits
>>7319667

Tuna nigiri
The fish is just such a clean taste that it almost has no flavor compared to tomago or salmon, I haven't been able to try any other type of fish though, but tuna is like only good for sopping up sauces.
>>7320110
Whenever I try a new sushi place the first thing I always order is a tekka maki.
It tells you everything there is to know about the place.
>>7319274
Kale is good in a salad with tahini red wine vinaigrette, pine nuts and pumpkin.
Infact the pine nuts and pumpkin combo is the only time I'll eat it raw and even then, I'll usually microwave it before making the salad just thought to darken it.
It's nice lightly cooked in ommeletes as well. Other than that it's not SUPER versatile or even nutritious compared to other greens. But compared to collards or watercress or even spinach its pretty cheap due to how much of a fad it is so I get it often.
>>7322680
bitter melons are unpleasant to eat even when cooked
>>7319671
What's up with wings? Literally every recipe I see is breaded, fried and covered in sugary sauce.
My favourite way to have wings is marinated in a light soy and lemon mixture and baked or served with peanut satay sauce. Just because they're finger food doesn't mean they have to be junk food.
>>7319716
>Be from the EU
>Family from Greece
>shit olives
>ameriland
Go back to /pol/ anon.
>>7322700
delicious in chanpuru with bonito flakes
>>7319271
Tripe's good, it just looks fucking disgusting
>>7319306
They taste pretty good, but eating them without chomping down on the seed itself is a challenge. I just wanted to have a good, relaxing time eating fruit salad, not solve a fucking puzzle using only my mouth
Raw tomato
Pineapple
Green olives
Raw carrots
That's about it.
>>7324093
>Raw carrots
funny, as a kid I used to loathe boiled carrots but have always loved raw carrots. Nowadays I'm used to both
>>hipster grains

>>7319274
grünkohl mit pinkel is where it's at. fuck those new york hipsters with their tryhard kale salads
They taste like perfume, I can't grasp the fact that anybody legitimately likes them.

>RAW EGG
RAW EGG?
RAW FUCKING EGG
WHAT
bitch u lucky u didn't get horrible food poisoning
>>7320110
Mix tuna in with mayonnaise and sweetcorn and you have the greatest sandwich filling of all time
>>7324100
I like raw in small portions but hate boiled
>>7324571
This is like an American exclusive problem. Here in Australia raw egg is fine and also theyre stored in or out of the fridge if that means anything yo you. Additionally salmonella is on the shell, not the actual edible part
>>7324579
I personally use capers and balsamic vinegar in tuna.
>>7324250
>not saying cheesecake and mandarin in the same sentance
>>7324592
I'm a Brit, and no I am fairly certain Raw Egg is going to give you horrible salmonella/food poisoning no matter where you live
>>7324598
That sounds pretty nice desu
I'm gonna go try that and the I'm gonna have both at the same time
>>7324604
I swear i only hear Americans talking about it, regardless its over blown
>>7324553
But bby, lentils are amazing. Cook with some fatty chicken thighs and curry powder.
>>7324599
I'm sure it's good if you have the recipe for it, but I wouldn't trust whatever is in your image to be as good as what I said
>>7324631
They legit taste of dust.
>>7325076
That's why you wash them, retard.
