Snus comes in a pouch that you put in your mouth like chew. It's not messy like chew, it's less intense of an effect, and you can swallow the spit without puking. I like snus. Camel snus is worthless, you can barely feel it. Marlboro snus is good though and gives you a decent buzz. Those are the only kind I've had

I dip general snus, its Swedish and fairly potent. It's cleaner than dip, you swallow the spit. Try looking for it at a cigar and tobacco specialist. Much better than camel.

Snus is made differently, it's pasteurized (steamed) where dip is smoked. It's not nearly as bad for you as dip is.

Nicotine gum is the same shit as dipping, only you chew it a little. The benefit is nobody notices or cares. Dipping requires you to spit and that grosses some people out for some reason.
Dip is tobbaco leaves, it's plant matter. It's a salad. Nobody should give a fuck that you have vegetables in your mouth and you spit.
I used to dip but switched to nicotine gum because it's inconvenient to spit when I'm working. I still dip sometimes if I'm in the woods doing redneck shit.

Eh, I quit smoking by dipping. It was a necessity because I could not smoke indoors at work or at home and it was Alaska and I was not going to go outside in -40 weather to smoke. Then I started to like dipping more than smoking.
Then I quit dipping by replacing the habit with nicotine gum. Haven't touched tobacco in years.

Snus is good stuff, been using it for a few months now trying to get off cigarettes. I recommend the Swedish snus only (the American "snus" is made completely differently, taste differently, and less of a buzz.)
Oden's is a good Swedish brand. Same with Thunder and Nick & Johnnys if you're big on high nicotine. A nice daily snus would be General and Epok if you like flavored stuff (Blueberry and Melon are a daily for me.)
It's nice to be able to use it and have no one know.
I did for about 2 years, maybe 2 or 3 dips per day and noticed some serious gum line recession. That scared me off it for good, haven't had one in 4 months
