Good (young/tender) goat is stronger than good lamb. They are quite similar. I can't tell you about older goat or mutton.

This. Very young kid is just like lamb. Full grown goat is nothing like lamb. It is like venison, except tastes of barnyard instead of gamey. Mutton and lamb has a lot more fatty tissues than goat.
