conbini onigiri
conbini onigiri !
I do want to try my hand at making onigiri but I'm not sure what filling to try for my first attempt, especially since I'm working mostly with American ingredients outside of the rice. I've heard that it's good with tuna mixed with soy sauce.
>>7295732
Why do the cartoons and comics from your country make my penis explode?
I WANT ONIGIRI NOW
BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY HERE
FUCK YOU OP
>>7295786
Hi !!
I think Japonica rice is better. USA rice so viscosity(?)
Onifiri in the some meat ok. Bacon and cheese, salmon, pickles.
>>7295790
hahaha.
chilling eat onigiri !
>>7295811

Look at all those delicious jelly donuts.
In all seriousness, what's your favorite filling OP? Only one I've tried so far is umeboshi, which is a little too sour for my tastes.
>>7295812
Yeah, our usual long-grain is a bit less sticky than Japanese short-grain. I think I'll set some salmon aside for filling the next time I make it. I don't know how I feel about rice and bacon, and the idea of cheese on its own with rice makes me kind of sick. Pickles could work. Thank you for your help!
>>7295822
The salmon filling is good in my experience, though it was very salted. I'm interested in trying roe filling.
>>7295827
>Pickles could work
Maybe try broccoli chopped a little more than normal? Cheesy broccoli rice is the shit.
I'm interested in trying tuna filling personally.
>>7295822
jelly donuts!? plz Photo !!
>Only one I've tried so far is umeboshi
Hate or like? Umeboshi is not biggner onigiri, I think(T_T)
Musubi is stupidly big in hawaii
i mean it's good, but damn
it's spam
>>7295827
Do you know "Onigirazu"?
Like a sandwich style. US-Rice so good.

>>7295836
>jelly donuts!? plz Photo !!
It's a joke based on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjUtoQaRfE0
Jelly donuts taste good though so if you still want a picture here you go.
>Hate or like
Hate is a little strong. But yes, hate. The sourness was a surprise.
>>7295844
I need to make this.
>>7295840
Spam is considered a local tradition/treasure thanks to rationing and military influence.
http://munchies.vice.com/articles/why-hawaiians-are-utterly-obsessed-with-spam
It's kind of silly, but this stuff sticks for generations.
>>7295844
I haven't! It looks pretty fun to make, though I'm not a huge fan of spam. Maybe I could swap it out for something else.
It reminds me of the sushi-burrito (sushirrito), which is styled after Mexican burritos but with fillings closer to Japanese cuisine and nori in the place of a tortilla. Pic related.
>>7295863
ya, I know sushi-burrito (sushirrito).
It became a hot topic in Japan.
I think California shop. "Oishisou" !!
>>7295861
ahhh, 4kids mame?
Onigiri = Donuts!!! hahaha
>>7295891
Yes they interrupt precious masturbatory time and don't lock their doors. Its all true, I've seen it in ANIMES.
>>7295786
Can confirm tuna works just fine, even without the soy sauce.
You could also do unfilled onigiri with lightly salted rice.
>>7295898
Salted rice is fucking great.
>>7295891
To eat Onigiri, please become calm! haha
>>7295895
yeah.......NO! lol
To eat Onigiri, please become calm! u2
>>7295899
>Salted rice
Its just salt and rice right?
>>7295905
It's actually rice soaked in oyster sauce and dried fish flakes, what do you think you dingus?
>>7295910
I thought it was made with cum and your mother pussy juice but thanks for letting me know.
>>7295924
This doesn't work so well when you admit to being a retard.
>>7295917
Thank you for all your help, OP! I hope you have a nice day!
>>7295917
are you actually japanese?
>>7295932
Just look how cute he is even in the way he writes.
No gaijin is that cute.
>>7295909
>What do you think is good beginner onigiri?
if you at USA or EU, salmon or some meat.
bacon, Grilled pork and beef (chopped).
If you like vegetables, it is good to be a seasoned with soy sauce or salt.

I think you've started other similar threads in the past, right OP? Thank you, these threads always make me feel happy.
My friend visited Japan once and said that the convenience store onigiri were actually surprisingly good. In America, basically nothing good comes out of a convenience store haha
>>7296508
oh wow! thank you!
What is your favorite JP food?
conbini onigiri is not good?
Least traditional stuffing?
I've used wasabi cheese as a filling.
>>7296521
「カビゴン」(kabigon)? I dont know English ver name.
Sorry(T_T)
>>7296550
Wasabi and cheese very nice.

>>7296579

C-dog si best, but,My Recipe is
(1) Sliced beef.
(2) Cut the onions.
(3) Soy source and Mirin(Go asian market to get!),Simmer beef&onions
(ex) if you get Mentsuyu(めんつゆ), easy to make Gyudon.
>>7296587

>>7295732
>Hey, do you like Onigiri?
Everyone does.
>>7296809
Onigiri + Ramen + Gyoza!!
OP is this a common occurrence in your country? I didn't know birds in moonland were into rape.
>>7295863
Whoa dude, easier there with your great knowledge of a Mexican burrito. But with Japanese ingredients......would have never guess that's where it got its name
>>7295909
Ume onigiri
Just buy a jar of pickled plums from asian grocer/international aisle, take one, remove pit, and j-j-jam it into a wad of salted rice
>>7296868
Is that legit?
Nip pedophile comics?
>>7295811
I could go for some but its freezing rain here so I can't go to the asian supermarket. If I could I probably wouldn't want some.
>>7295746
YESSSSSS SPAM MUSUBI IS LIFE!
I don't really get this. Is it just rice in seaweed? Is it seasoned?
They eat this in anime and video games, I never understood why.
>>7296917
It's rice, optionally with something else jammed in it, wrapped in nori so it doesn't stick to your hands. It's the nip analog to a sandwich. something you'd take on a picnic or get at the gas station or pay far out the ass for an over-upgraded version of at a fancy restaurant.
>>7296925
>analog to a sandwich
there's no such thing as a plain sandwich, though. If there's nothing inside of it, it ceases to be a sandwich and just becomes bread.
>>7296927
which is also something you'd eat though. Rice is to chinesu devirs as bread is to white people.
>>7296934
Speak for yourself. I can't recall the last time I've seen anyone eating plain bread.
>>7296885
Search "おにぎらず" Onigirazu
Similar sushi-burrito
>>7296914
delicious!!
>>7296942
You've never just taken and ripped a chunk off a freshly baked loaf and eaten it? You haven't lived man.
>>7296885
I know they have some Mexican food in Japan but I didn't know their frame of reference for the word/concept as written in Latin letters, so I was as exact as possible. As it turns out, the preciseness wasn't necessary, and I can appreciate that now it looks a little silly.
>>7296917
seaweed is good taste, but overseas hate this...
bad looks? or Not delicious?
>>7296917
Furikake seasoning in the rice is always a good thing. I prefer wasabi fumi furikake.
A cream cheese filling is fine too.
>>7296551
It's English name is 'Snorlax'. A pun on 'snore' (the noise someone's breath makes while sleeping) and 'relax', I think
>>7295732
MMMMM DONUTS
>>7297108
Pokemon syndrome!!!!
>>7297076
Fuck off Tubbs. I hate your dumb fat face.
Honestly looks delicious OP, and I'm glad you're happy. It makes me happy.
>>7296962
is it common at all to eat onigiri without any filling? i just really love the simple taste of a lightly seasons rice with some seaweed. maybe a little soy sauce but then its a little too salty.i like making cute ones for my wife's lunch
>>7296962
I love seaweed! However, I think most people in America get disgusted at anything foreign. Seaweed is also described as "slimey" , which is a texture that many Americans try to avoid.
>>7297157
Faggot
>>7296903
>pedophile
>2D
pick one
OP are you from /jp/, or 2channel?
>>7297157
I don't know the commonality of it with the Moon People but I sometimes fix onigiri without filling. I'd say leave off the soy sauce (the salt on your hands from shaping them is enough for me) and stick with a good furikake.
>>7295732
This anon is so...genuine. The happiness in every post seems to have waken up a long dead part of my soul...
I need a drink...
>>7295820

>>7298822
