cook alongs are over-rated. let's wash some dishes together.
big pile
sprinkle some bartender's friend in there and give it a scrub.
I find it odd that the powdered cleansers are so friendly... "barkeeper's FRIEND", "bon AMI".

Why don't you just put them in the dishwasher?
>>7291941
Come do mine. I can't be arsed to fix it. I just started using paper plates. I still use silverware but reuse them for a week.
ahhhhh
sanitized.
now we can begin.
>>7291954
whoa whoa whoa there.
one step at a time.
gotta rinse them and get the caked on proteins off first.

He might rent. Or maybe they live with their parents. Either way, they probably have some shitbox from the 90's that leaves crusty food bits on everything.
>dinner at friend's house
>his parents are well off
>wash the dishes by hand
>they think I'm insane
mashed potatoes and sausage gravy.
had no intention of eating them when I put them in the containers.
kinda sad, really.
>>7291941
Wash alongs are alright but NAKED wash alongs are where it's at.
I mean, if we're gonna get /soc/'d, we should REALLY get soaked, ne?
>>7291965
dishwasher is 3 years old. I pwn. uses way less water than washing dishes by hand. they recycle rinse water and use it for the next wash cycle. that might be why they looked at you funny. or maybe you just look funny. maybe you are insane? could be anything I guess. gotta get back to the dishes now. we're live at this point.
i like the cut of your jib, was just doing some dishes before i do my cook along, everyone on /ck/ has a nicer kitchen than me apparently
>>7291968
what happened with the potatoes

>that knife
Oh god I hate knives like that with a burning passion. Give me tang or give me death.
>>7292006
lol i know nothing about fancy knives, i had walmart brand knives and they suck so i got those knives from ross for like $13, they are some kinda wolfgang puck fancyish steel im using them as practice knives so i can learn to take care of nice knives properly and then ill drop some coin on actual nice ones, they are sharp as heck tho
>>7291981
before I moved here I had a stovetop with 1 working burner and had almost no counter space. don't worry about it.
>>7292000
they sat in the fridge for 2 weeks. garbage disposal.

m8 this is a pretty topkek idea
you need to keep going
This is a good idea for thread. My dishwasher is currently going, but the person who started it left the knives in the sink. I'll just do them by hand tomorrow. I do want to show off my sweet red granite kitchen, but I'm buzzed, freshly fucked, and about to watch some Firefly. So I'm max comfy.
But props OP. I hope this becomes a regular thread like those Clean Up your Room threads.
>>7292043
I'd make a great bear.
>>7292046

>>7292055
