>People eat like this in the first place
>>
The irony is that you're only an adult when you stop worrying about whether your food choices make you an adult or not.
>>
>>7274283
I'll never understand why some people think they have to do certain things to prove they're adults to some invisible force/other people. What's the point? No one actually gives a shit if you drink beer or eat brussels sprouts. Of course the age differs from country to country/culture to culture, but typically when you reach the age of majority you're legally an adult and that's that.

Besides, it's not as if eating/drinking/doing certain things makes you an adult. If you see some 11 year olds getting drunk on offbrand larger, are you going to think they're mature? No. When I was in elementary school there was a girl who really hated sweet things. Did anyone think she was acting like an adult? No. I've personally been drinking coffee since I was 13 and I don't think anyone has thought any differently of me because of it.
>>
>>7274317
>I'll never understand why some people think they have to do certain things to prove they're adults
because they are not adults
>>
>>7274186
>what are foods you HAVE to like to be considered an adult?

No,no,no...

Its about disliking sugary sweet foods for every meal. like all the kids at school will just eat chocolate and cookies, soda and chips for lunch. Just the thought of so much sugar/salt makes me feel ill now.

Honestly, I never buy chocolate. Sometimes I will have one scoop of Ice cream or something on a hot day, bottle of coke once a week.
>>
>>7274186
You don't have to like anything to be an adult. What you do have to do is TRY everything without crying like a little bitch because it's unfamiliar.

Nope, agreed. Beer is kind of a cheap and brutally expensive waste of life that should
have the attention cigarettes get.
At least you can cook a wider arrange of proper meals with wines.
>Spirits, get it?

The foods that come with traditional meals and have to be mixed in. You don't have to
thoroughly enjoy these foods,or even cook them in your down time or snack on.
But try not asking for your burritos, burgers, pizzas, and holiday meals without the other
stuff kids usually don't want.

>Exposure, plain and simple. Scientists tell us that aversions fade away when we eat moderate doses of the hated foods at moderate intervals, especially if the food is complex and new to us. (Don't try this with allergies, but don't cheat either: few of us have genuine food allergies.) Exposure works by overcoming our innate neophobia, the omnivore's fear of new foods that balances the biological urge to explore for them. Did you know that babies who are breast-fed will later have less trouble with novel foods than those who are given formula? The variety of flavors that make their way into breast milk from the mother's diet prepares the infant for the culinary surprises that lie ahead. Most parents give up trying novel foods on their weanlings after two or three attempts and then complain to the pediatrician; this may be the most common cause of fussy eaters and finicky adults--of omnivores manqués. Most babies will accept nearly anything after eight or ten tries.

There are actually people out there who say they don't like "fish", all the way across the board.
>>
>>7275698
That looks a lot like Japan if I'm not mistaken. Can you really not tell?
>>
>>7275647
This.

Find that it's not the inclusion of certain items, but the exclusion of others that tend to be a red flag.

People tend to notice and judge if you go to a restaurant with friends and ask for chicken nuggets and fries.
>>
>>7276018
Fuck fish

but really, I don't mind the taste. I just really really hate the texture.
>>
>>7276050

The point was that there are all sorts of different kinds of fish out there, with different tastes and textures.

I thought the only people left who "don't like fish" were baby boomers who grew up eating fish that was baked to death, sometimes in tomato sauce, which smelled up the entire house and was otherwise bland and dry.
>>
>>7276018
I don't like fish, across the board. As many times as I've tried to eat it, there's just something about it that I just don't like. Might be the flavor, might be the texture, maybe a combination of both. I don't know what it is but I just don't like it.
>>
>>7276050
i'm the same way, i hate the texture of fish but i love shellfish
>>
Basically, if you dislike key ingredients and/or a wide enough range of food to make you bothersome to invite over for dinner or go to a restaurant with, you are immature and should force yourself to try new things.
For example, disliking most vegetables is a major social handicap unless all your friends are immature plebs too and you don't plan on expanding your social circle at all.
On top of that, a wide range of dislikes is typically tied to being extremely unhealthy overall.

>>
just not being a picky eater is all that required. You can dislike a few things, but if you go around being a vegan or shit like that, you cannot call yourself an adult
>>
>>7274548
moderate drinking is 1-3 beers per day for a male
