No pictures, but last night:

3 cup chicken stock
1 cup fresh spinach
1 tbsp fresh basil
1 tsp lemon zest
1 egg
1 cup any pasta you want

Put chicken stock in pot and let warm up
Add spinach and basil, let cook for a few minutes
Add pasta you cooked beforehand
Dump an egg straight into it and whisk quickly (gives broth rich and creamy appearance)

Serve up with a little sriracha, very tasty soup.

Vegetable risotto.

Next time you want to be sure that the batter/breading sticks to the fish. To be honest, it looks like you just dredged it in flour and tossed it in the fryer.

You want to do it in this order:
Flour
Beaten Egg
Flour
Batter or bread crumbs if you're using any
Fry

I've been attempting to make dal palak (lentil spinach curry) for a few days now, but I've either felt too shitty or something else has come up. Last night I had to go out to the store in -30F wind chill, ended up putting a frozen pizza in the oven just out of a desire for warmth. It was actually pretty good; Target's Market Pantry brand actually has decent pizza.

I've also discovered that it's pretty hard to find frozen spinach nowadays. I guess everyone's buying it fresh, but if I'm gong to put it in a curry like this I see no reason to pay extra for fresh.

It's a glaze made out of the sear I did. Seared the chicken 5 minutes on either side then popped it in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes. With the pan scraps I added 2 tbsp of butter, thyme and rosemary. The flavor came out absolutely fantastic.
>>
>>7279710

It came out that dark with just the remainder from the sear? Neat, I'll have to try that, I thought you added some sort of fruit puree for a sec.

In my experience, they are the same size as most sausages and are highly fatty and flavored.

My favorite simple dish is getting rice and water in a pot, nestling two or three sausages in, making the rice, then cutting the sausages up (along with green onions) and putting those over the top.

They just seem more like a component than something you should eat like a hot dog.

Stop being such a bitch. I take pictures of all my creations, but I don't post them online except for a few OC threads on /ck/. What I do however, is keep all the pictures in categorized folders along with the recipe I used. When I want to make it again in the future, I can reference the pictures and decide if there's a better method that I could use this time. Unless you're a line cook making the same shit day in, day out, you're only going to make something fancy every once and a while, and the best way to master that is either through repetition, of reference.

My current meal is currently weaving it's way to me. The senpai (as in us 4 roommates) ordered from our favorite Asian restaurant (I say Asian because they make Thai, Viet, and Chinese food). We're having:
Tofu with Bok Choy
Bahn Mi
Potstickers
Shrimp and Pork Spring rolls
Pineapple Fried Rice, Hawaiian style
Pepper Salted Spareribs
Garlic Chicken
and of course....General Tso's Chicken because my roommate is fucking addicted to that shit like babby's first crackpipe.

Can't wait, I'm starving.....get here NOW

A hot dog, bacon and avocado on a tortilla?

Yeah, I could see that being ok, though I'd probably use a hot italian sausage or bratwurst or maybe some fresh polish sausage instead of a hot dog.

>>
>>7291342

i know it's not complicated. it was essentially "i need proteins and fats on at least 30 carbs"

typically, i'd just make an avocado taco and eat it with eggs and bacon. separately.

i never thought to COMBINE the taste in one bite. I said fuck it, let's just stuff it and see what happens. this was just random stuff from the fridge.

next time though, i'll pick a riper avocado, a lower-carb tortilla, and an actual sausage.

It's really straight forward
>cook pasta

>add a little bit of olive oil
>salt + pepper

That is not a carbonara. They slathered on some creamy sauce shit with bacon, chicken and broccoli with the hopes that customers think carbonara means pasta with bacon. Like fuck, the noodles aren't even coated with the sauce properly, which doesn't even look like it has eggs in it.
