Today was hot dog day at the office!
I'll start with a pic of the buns. New England style, of course.
Wonderful Hummel Bros. dogs, swaddled in sauerkraut.
The other crockpot full of dogs.
Homemade meat sauce.
Homemade chili. The meat sauce was better.
Macaroni salad - with nice big chunks of egg!
Close-up of New England style hot dog buns, for anyone unfamiliar with them.
Basically like a loaf of bread with its top split. I like these a lot because the bottom stays pretty strong and won't fall open.
My hot dogs. One with meat sauce, one with chili.
Mmmmmmmm.
Bonus pic: some sukiyaki my parents made recently. So good. I used to have it all the time as a kid.
I wish we would have a hot dog day at my office. :(

Hello Wisconsin, when did you guys get the internet?

>New England hot dog buns
>Wisconsin

Both are flyover shitholes.

What an asinine comment. Depending on where you are in New England, you're in one of the most densely-populated regions of the country. That alone disqualifies it from "flyover" status.
Where do YOU live?
This thread is no good.

How does the human DNA taste, faggot?

Hello fellow north easterner, how was your trip to BJ's today?
>>7258979
What's BJ's?
hotdog day means something completely different at my office
>>7260438
Every day is a sausage fest where I work (I.T.).
>>7260435
it's like costcos
>>7260528
I've always wanted to try Costco pizza, but I don't have a membership and they seem to guard their entrance like Nazis :(
>>7258892
yeah I don't buy that for a second.
>>7260703
What? Just tell them you are going to the food court they will let you in.
>>7260703
U don't need a membership for the food court. I don't have one and I go once a week
>>7261285
just checked out the menu and looks like imma get a large pizza, chicken bake and hot dog
>>7261285
Thatl only works in specific states. It depends on if the states law allows it. I know you can't in my state.
>>7258796
Isn't it just chili with coffee in it? Still good though.
>>7258207
mail me some
>>7261672
Central CTfag here. I'm pretty sure Cappy's must use cloves and/or allspice in their sauce judging by the taste. It's so good, I've never had another meat sauce like it, and I think it's the best in the state
Honorable mention goes to Kamp Dog down in New London who has a rather different take on meat sauce, somewhat sweeter and spicier. Not as good as cappy's I think
Every once in a while me and some homies buy a couple 30 pack dogs and buns and everyone brings a topping. The selection last time, plus some stuff on the stove.
>>7261809
some homies and I*
>>7261809
damn, I love loaded hot dogs, but I can never keep all that shit on hand because I rarely eat them.
>my average hot dog
>>7261809
someone brought just... unseasoned cooked ground beef? yuck
>>7258266
I know flyover is a meme, but you could at least try to use it right. NE is the opposite of flyover.
>>7258892
I keked trying to think of how much DNA would actually have to be in a hot dog to taste it.
>>7261672
>being so autistic that you have to email costco customer service to see if you can eat without a membership
how do you function?
>>7261778
haven't really seen any other meat sauce dog places besides cappy unless you count chili as meat sauce
>>7261809
that dog juice looks good enough to drink or at least make some kind of dog and broccoli cheese soup
>>7262000
option 1: drive to costco and get rejected and embarrassed at the door in front of everyone
option 2: lift my fingers a couple times and wait for someone to answer me
>>7262039
>embarrassed
you can't get any good boy points like that, man
>>7262112
Are you really arguining in favour of wasting time and money driving down to Costco, just to ask them the same thing you could ask in an email. Come on dude.
>>7261778
It's got cloves in it for sure. I tried to make chili with cloves because of it, and I used way too much. It was disgusting.
>>7258284
yeah I saw that episode of Man vs Food too...
>>7258224
mother of god YES
>>7258207
People shit on mac salad but a good mac salad is a thing of beauty. And delicious.
>putting ketchup on a hot dog
>EVER
superior hot dog coming through

Have a question: Why do American hot dogs taste so freaking salty? Outside America, the hot dogs taste less salty and much sweeter.
Is this some kind of regulation standard here?
>>7263702
What the fuck? A "sweeter" hot dog? What the fuck?
>>7263702
They probably have more salt in them.
>>7263700
I was in Chicago last summer and none of the hotdogs had poppyseed buns.
Was I ripped off? Where do I sue people?
