After reading all about it for a while online my grocer finally got some in. What can I do with Brown Rice? I understand it needs to cook longer but is more substantial so it can be a main course itself, maybe with some lime juice and an avocado and mayo?

Doctors been saying for years I need to eat whole grains though. I switched to enriched white and eat popcorn everyday. Looking to make my rice consumption a little healthier.

The secrets to brown rice are:
1. Getting fresh rice that doesn't have "that brown rice smell" (protip: it should smell nutty, not rancid, but most people think rancid smell is normal)
2. Soaking it if you're a faggot and don't like texture (most people don't). Or, having a rice cooker that has a brown rice setting (all self respecting Asians have one)
Also if you're in it for a lifestyle change you should look into multigrain mixes, they are found at any legit Asian grocery store. A lot of better educated Asians have switched to this stuff for some time now, think of it as a meme, but for your squinty-eyed superiors.
