How do you make your burgers?

I'm getting a little bored with my pepperjack, ranch burger and I'm looking for new ideas.
>>
mushroom swiss
>>
Changing the type of bread is the easiest way to change the taste. And if that fails, just throw some sweet potatoes fries on it.
>>
>>7239930

>ranch
>burger

It's a fucking hamburger, not a side-salad
>>
>>7239930
Try a marble rye, with either swiss or muenster cheese. I like that with only K and M added, but to each their own. Also, fuck ranch dressing.
>>
I made a burger with a once over easy egg, hollandaise, and horseradish sauce the other day. It was fucking delicious.
>>
>>7239930
Buy ground elk meat, mix with a little worcestshire, soy and ketchup, salt and pepper and a tiny amount of very finely shredded onions. Throw on some white cheese once you've flipped the burger, Toast buns in a pan with a thin coating of olive oil, and use a lighter or torch to melt the cheese on top of the burger. Then throw on some kale, tomato and pickles.

It's actually a pretty healthy burger comprable to a turkey burger since ground elk meat is so lean but without that weird flavor and consistency of ground turkey meat.
>>
I soak my meat in worchester sauce and cook it on a bed of onions
>>
>>7241683
If you have to do that much to a burger patty, you're doing something wrong.
>>
>>7241729
I normally do salt/pepper/worcestershire/garlic powder to mine, cheese on top, grilled onions, and toasted buns. The rest is condiments/vegetables, of which I basically only put pickles and then it's on the side.

For condiments I always do homemade mayo and homemade BBQ sauce. Sometimes I skip the BBQ depending on what I'm going for with the burger.

Also sometimes I make onion rings instead of grilled onions and put it on the burger. Also french fries, fucking love home made french fries.
>>
>>7241729
>if you have to do that much

that is like 5 minutes of prep at maximum and is standard no matter what kind of meat you're using. If you're just buying pre-made burger patties or just using ground meat without seasoning then you are doing it completely wrong. Seriously, if you think basic seasoning is doing something wrong I have no idea what you're doing on a cooking board.
>>
>>7241746
>basic seasoning
>three condiments before it hits heat
>>
Local mega mart by me started stocking pretzel buns, get a little deli counter cheese, some onions, nice spicy mustard, maybe some pickles.

Shits so good
>>
>>7241770
Pretty typical when using ground meat, you wouldn't know because you buy pre-made patties.

But for sure stick to microwaving pre-made white castle burgers if that's your thing.
>>
>>7241770
>before it hits heat

you have definitely never made a halfway decent burger. you have to season the meat before you make patties out of it and definitely before you actually put it in the pan or on the grill.
>>
Really the only thing I do to my burger paties is a little fresh pepper and salt. Guess i'm not /ck/ing it enough
>>
>>7241729
>making a quality burger is doing something wrong

huh?

I like my burgers simple.

When I make them myself at home, they're basically a Double Triple Balty Deluxe on a raft, four by four, animal-style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease.

I always make sure to make it cry, burn it, and let it swim.
>>
>>7241581
Ranch goes good with everything, except breakfast food.
>>
Does it have to be beef/red meat? I made some very nice chicken burgers earlier:

4-5 skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 a beaten egg

Trim the chicken thighs and mince them, mix with the breadcrumbs, egg and a little salt. Form into patties, and then coat in more breadcrumbs (~1/2 cup per. patty). Fry in oil at a medium heat.

I just served them in a bun with lettuce & mayo. Lovely they were too.
>>
>>7243106
Cold pizza from the previous night is a breakfast food.
>>
>>7243108
>4-5 skinless chicken thighs

How many burgers is that? Seems like a lot for a single sandwich.
>>
>>7243113
It's about the same as 2 large breasts once you've trimmed it all, which will get you two 1/4lb size patties.
>>
>>7239930

The fuck is that pale sauce on the upper-right burger?

I usually squirt a load of jizz on mine. I got the idea from McDonalds.
>>
>>7243238

But it's BK that put's mayo on their burgers, not Micky D's.
>>
>>7241683
Oh yeah, we all live somewhere where ground elk meat is readily available.
>>
>>7243362

If you live somewhere where you can't drive less than two hours and go hunt some elk, you need to fucking move because you live in an awful place.
>>
>>7241790
Hell, I don't even bother with the pepper. At most, I use some salt and maybe like 5% of the time I will add some onion. Nothing wrong with a simple burger.
>>
>>7239930
fried egg, bbq, bacon, chesse, blue cheese

Those are general topics I use to switch it up. Could also substitute the bun such as using doughnuts, lettuce, etc.
>>
>>7239930
there are people on this board who will NEVER get that delicious, christianity indoctrinated, beefy goodness from In & Out.

Or is this like the American "all burgers are sandwiches meme" ie. it is what we say it is even though it's wrong
>>
>>7248625

All burgers aren't sandwiches?
>>
>>7248600
It isn't a meme.
>>
>>7249675
Yes but not all sandwiches are burgers. That's why most people refer to fast food 'burgers' as sandwich.
>>
>>7248625
It's just a kind of bread roll.

The Hawaiian.
Grilled Pineapple, Bacon, Gouda, Red Onion, good BBQ Sauce, served on a King's Hawaiian bread hamburger bun. Other veggies optional.
Best eaten in an uncomfortable hurry with a room full of angry islanders glaring at your fat white ass.

Does any one have a recipe/seasoning they'd be willing to share?

Someone posted this one at some point, I really like it.

Makes 2 large burgers

1 pound 80-85% lean Black Angus ground beef
1/4 cup Pure New England maple syrup, plus more for basting
4 thick slices applewood smoked bacon
1 MacIntosh apple
4 slices Vermont cheddar cheese
2 Bulkie rolls
Salt and pepper to taste

In a medium bowl, combine the beef, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well using your hands.

Form into 2 8-ounce patties. Set aside in the refrigerator.

Cook the bacon on the grill, in a skillet, or in the oven. Peel and slice the apple. Place in small bowl and sprinkle lemon juice over the slices to prevent browning.

Place the apple slices on grill and cook for about one minute on each side. Remove and set aside.

Grill the burgers over high heat, turn after 3 or 4 minutes and move to a cooler part of the grill. Drizzle some maple syrup over the burgers as they cook. Toast the buns as the burgers cook.

When the burgers are cooked to your liking, take two slices or more of bacon and place on top of each burger. Arrange some apple slices on top of the bacon.

Place a slice of cheese on top of each burger, cover the grill and let melt for about a minute.

Place the burgers on the buns.

Done

Well what i do is find some nice juicy balloon tits, remove them in one quick slice, and season it with one of those coating mixs you get at the supermarket.

And just fry it on both sides till golden brown. I usually throw in some pan fried mushrooms in butter as well.

Do people actually still eat hamburgers?

In a post-Super Size Me world, people actually willingly put hamburgers into their bodies?
