Penne and similar are the absolute worst. It won't go on a spoon, it'll just roll off as it's about to go into your mouth. It's a pain in the ass to puncture with a fork because it just flattens under the pressure without attaching to the fork unless you make more of an effort than you should need to at dinner. The empty space in the middle adds nothing.

I like my gnocchi and tortellini with a spoon to catch any extra sauce that's there with them. As I said, it doesn't work whatsoever with penne because it just falls off way too easily.

2/10 but pretty much anything 'hollow tube' shaped will do, never did tortiglioni but it looks like it'd be good.
I like jumbo shells because stuffed shells are nice. Also, lasagna pasta is best because it makes lasagna.

Italian here, fusilli is literally babby tier. Sure it holds the sauce well, but they're impossible to cook al dente, either the center part remains too hard or the outside gets too soggy.
