What did you cook for yourself today /ck/?

Here is my breakfast for champions! For lazy champions that is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zJ-h6T4eY8

You can't see them beer cans in that photo but you know that they are here.
>>
is that a persian cucumber? don't peel those, the skin is very thin. english cucumbers should be peeled though. otherwise not bad, but i would add a bit of vinegar. and oregano. and black pepper.
>>
>>7221750
I microwaved some potatoes, added tuna mayo, sweetcorn, red onion, and kale

>is that a persian cucumber? don't peel those, the skin is very thin. english cucumbers should be peeled though.

You should always peel cucumbers!Depending on what fertilizer was used to grow them the skin may contain some very nasty chemicals.

>I microwaved some potatoes, added tuna mayo, sweetcorn, red onion, and kale
>tuna
As in the fish tuna? And what the hell is kale?
>>
>>7221841
tuna chunks from a tin can (mixed with mayo and black pepper)

kale is a type of cabbage
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kale
>>
>>7221843
>tuna chunks from a tin can
And you microwaved them?I was never a big fan of tuna but warming it up in a microwave sounds even worse than just eating it from the can. Wouldn't it be better if you put the whole thing in a frying pan and semi fry it?
>>
>>7221750
Rice gruel and sliced chinese sausage
>>
>>7221864
oh no no no

the tuna mayo was made separately in a bowl

just the potatoes and sweetcorn were microwaved (separately)
>>
>>7221771
>but i would add a bit of vinegar
Why would you do that?Unless the tomatoes are of the very sweet variety adding vinegar will result in increasing the acidity(pH) of the salad and by doing that you will ruin the taste.
>>
>>7221871
Now this makes a lot more sense.
>>
Frozen Pizza.
>>
>>7221898
You know you can warm it up so you are not nibbling on a piece of ice.Unless you are posting from the hot desert?Than i guess eating frozen pizza will be the way to go.Refreshing and cold.
>>
>>7221750
Seared some chicken breasts and finished them in the oven. I also made some rice and a marinated cucumber and tomato salad.

Nothing fancy, but it was delicious.
>>
>>7221927
I like putting the salad on top of the rice so it can drip down on it and make it tastier.
>>
>>7221878
What, like there are no classic salads that use tomatoes and traditional vinaigrettes? Increasing the acidity doesn't mean you'll ruin the taste - I think it would offset the cheese nicely.
>>
>>7222290
>like there are no classic salads that use tomatoes and traditional vinaigrettes?
I know of only one and it uses cherry tomatoes, olives, japanese cabbage and balsam vinergar.
>>
>>7222290
>Increasing the acidity doesn't mean you'll ruin the taste
Oh it most definitely will.
>I think it would offset the cheese nicely.
Have you eaten white cheese? It tastes almost nothing like regular cheese. At least the white cheese i ate.

Typical Canadafag brekky.

I am speechless. It's like dipping a candy bar in honey. Some things simply should not be interacting on the table.

So i give you wtf/10.
>>
>>7222622
I've never seen pasta like that?
Did they sell it to you in this manner or you made it that short?
>>
>>7222561
Seems a little bit too raw for my taste.I mean did you roast this thing at all?I wouldn't be surprised if it starts moving on your plate any moment now.

First time cooking with a new grill, I'll make a few changes next time and should get it to my liking.
You gotta cook with the lid down on a Weber so it felt like I was cooking blind.

You people need to learn how to make a proper burger.Putting all you can find in the fridge between two pieces of bread does not make a good burger.

You people are killing me with those raw slabs of meat.Or maybe this is my inner hunter that always makes sure the meat has undergone enough cooking.Don't you fear the bugs in the meat?
>>
>>7223536
No, I'm pretty confident I could eat steak from my butcher completely raw and not get sick. I don't think it would taste that great and any bacteria that might be there would be on the outside so a quick sear is all it really needs.
>>
>>7222715
This could work but i'd rather use it on different meals.

I see that you have great confidence in the man but let us not forget that he is still a man.And a parasite...is a death sentence.I am not joking. After i started preparing for the hunters exam i now have a newfound fear in me.I am more afraid of the nasty bugs eating the boar on the inside than the bear chasing me around.
>>
>>7223554
That's wild game you're talking about though, I'd probably want that cooked through as well.

If you live in a first world country, farm raised meat killed in an abotoir is pretty safe. I've never heard of anyone getting sick from it.

I've had food poisoning from a seafood buffet eating raw oysters though. I still eat them.
>>

I hate those things.I'd rather eat snails.Taste much better and are a lot cheaper if you gather them by yourself.

I made garlic soup with some old bread, garlic, paprika, EVOO and cured ham. I then poached an egg in it. Shit is so fucking cash and you can make it in like 10 minutes.
>>
>>7224366
>You got tricked m8.
How?Also did you watch the whole video? He says ''cheese as a personal touch''.Make it and try it.I did and it tasted fine.
>>
>>7222373
In my experience, white is correlated to flavour in the same way yellow is, in regards to cheese. I've certainly had mature white cheeses.

But if your white cheese was mild, I understand.

>>7222339
Nicoise is the first that comes to mind for me.
