ITT; Tools that every real cook needs in their kitchen
I'll start
That's the skyhook, a primary gameplay component from the AAA title Bioshock: Infinite. Bioshock: Infinite was the third such title in the series which began as a spiritual successor to the science fiction title System Shock & its direct sequel System Shock 2.

It's a cooking tool for pasta

Nerd.
My wooden spoon is arguably my most used and loved thing in my entire kitchen.
It stirs tea, it breaks up hamburger to brown, it serves leftovers, and I can leave it on the stove without worrying about it melting.
Bought mine for $5 or some shit, and its lasted me years when other implements broke or fell apart.
All hail the wooden spoon. King of the kitchen.
>>7215899
>paying $5 for a wooden spoon
Never thought I needed one, now I can't imagine my kitchen without one.

>Reverse image search it
>Bioshock everywhere and nothing involving cooking

>>7216216
The Irish potato famine was caused by wasting food with potato guns. Your mom was right not to get you one.
>>7215880
I don't see how a skyhook would be used in the kitchen
>>7216239
Is that the iron fish they use to ward off anemia due to weak diet?
Strangely handy for a superstition, that. Apparently enough minerals are absorbed from it to be of nutritional signifigance
>>7215880
I genuinely have one of those.
>>7216247
>Apparently enough minerals are absorbed from it to be of nutritional signifigance
That's the entire point in it.

>>7216280
Is it hard to be a cook when you're an oyster?
>>7216247
The story the website has for the PR campaign is pretty neat.
They tried all sorts of different designs and symbols, but the locals kept rejecting them. Eventually made a fish that some people liked enough to use consistently and it wasn't until they added the symbol to it that it saw widespread use.
>>7216280
I think most people get one to pretend to be a medieval soldier or knight.
>>7216219
Lol what??
That is absolutely not how you slice an onion
These things are amazingly useful
>>7216497
My mom used these to make us milk shakes when were were a kid. My mom is a whore.
>>7216516
Are you saying that her milkshakes brought all the boys to the yard?
Also to stay on topic: some kind of steaming basket/trivet.
>>7216579

Oh ya, it is important to have a clean counter top to make pizza and pasta. Fuck ya.

>>7215880
If you can only have *one tool,* this would have to be it.
>>7217990
well, he made fun of migrants but didn't say anything bad about Islam specifically, denied climate change so he'll probably just get a fine.

Ya fucked up.
>>7218767
I actually just got rid of my microwave and am making do with just my stove/oven and a small toaster oven (which takes up less counter space than the microwave). I wanted to pare things down when I moved to a different apartment. However, I sorely miss the dishwasher. It sucks having to do everything by hand, especially because I get eczema on my hands.
